CDC whistleblower’s confession: his personal safety is still an issue

On August 27, CDC whistleblower William Thompson came out of the shadows and admitted he had omitted vital data from a 2004 study on the MMR vaccine and its connection to autism.
Thompson’s official statement was released through his Cincinnati attorney, Rick Morgan.
The key piece in Thompson’s statement is:
‘I regret that my coauthors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics. The omitted data suggested that African American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were at increased risk for autism. Decisions were made regarding which findings to report after the data were collected, and I believe that the final study protocol was not followed.’
‘My concern has been the decision to omit relevant findings in a particular study for a particular sub group for a particular vaccine. There have always been recognized risks for vaccination and I believe it is the responsibility of the CDC to properly convey the risks associated with receipt of those vaccines.’
Everything else in Thompson’s statement is backfill and back-pedaling and legal positioning and self-protection.
But this part, this is big. Within Thompson’s community of researchers and the general world of medical research and publishing, people know what it means.
It means major fraud.

Just Admit It: You (and your kids) Are State PROPERTY

Still think you have “freedom” eh? Still think you’re the actual parents of your children, and that you should be the ones making decisions about their lifestyle and heatlh? Or are you simply where all the liabilities reside for the decision to have them, while the choices belong to someone else — you know, like a slave?
Police have rejected criticism of their search for a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour removed from a UK hospital by his parents against medical advice.
Ashya King was found in Malaga on Saturday and his parents arrested, following an international search.
His father Brett King defended his actions in a video posted on YouTube, saying there had been a “ridiculous chase”.
Hampshire Police said medical advice was that Ashya was in “grave danger”.
The parents, it turns out, wanted their kid to be treated using a therapy not offered by the UK’s socialized medical services. Specifically, they wanted to use proton beam therapy rather than what the UK wanted to use (effectively gamma radiation.) The difference is that proton beam therapy is a more-targeted form of radiation than gamma. Both are of the same general type, and there is much dispute as to whether proton therapy is as effective in specific cancers. Then again there’s plenty of argument over whether radiation therapy actually “works” (that is, does less harm and good) in these cases to begin with.

Labor’s Demise Is America’s Demise – Paul Craig Roberts

Labor Day is a holiday that has outlived its time. Like Christmas, Labor Day has become a time-out period. As Christmas has become a shopping spree, Labor Day has become the last summer holiday.
The holiday originated in 1887 to celebrate the contribution made by American workers to the strength and prosperity of the United States. The first Monday in September was chosen by President Grover Cleveland to avoid a May date that would keep alive the memory of the previous year’s Haymarket Massacre in which workers striking for an eight-hour day suffered casualties from the Chicago police.
As time passed union leadership became a career rather than a movement in behalf of a cause, but the labor movement in its initial years was reformist. It brought safer working conditions into industry and manufacturing. Unions served as a countervailing power and constrained the exploitative power of capital. An industrial or manufacturing job was a ladder of upward mobility that made the US an opportunity society and stabilized the socio-political system with a large middle class. A large and thriving industrial and manufacturing sector provided many white collar middle class jobs for managers, engineers, researchers and designers, and American universities flourished as did their graduates.

Well Done Hillary, Islamists are Swimming in Our Pool!

Images from Libya today speak more clearly about the folly of US interventionism, US “regime change” operations, US-led bombing campaigns to “promote democracy” than anything else. Arguing passionately in favor of a US attack on Libya, over the objections of then-Defense Secretary Robert Gates, then-US Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice said:
I swore to myself that if I ever faced such a crisis again, I would come down on the side of dramatic action, going down in flames if that was required.
Well she was partly right. Thanks to her successful demands for a US attack, it was Libya that went down in flames.

10 CONSPIRACY THEORIES THAT CAME TRUE

When questioning the official narrative proved crucial
Despite the fact that the term ‘conspiracy theory’ has been weaponized by the establishment as a perjorative slur against anyone who questions the official narrative of any government pronouncement, there are innumerable examples throughout history of conspiracies that were proven to be true.
Let’s take a look at ten examples;
1) Operation AJAX and false flag terror
The notion that governments and intelligence agencies carry out acts of false flag terrorism has long been derided by the establishment media as a conspiracy theory, despite there being a plethora of historically documented instances.
After decades of denial, in August 2013 the CIA finallyadmitted its role in staging the coup in Iran which led to the overthrow of Mohammad Mossadegh in 1953 under the umbrella of Operation AJAX.
Under AJAX, the CIA oversaw covert operations which included acts of false flag terror which claimed the lives of some 300 people.
2) Gulf of Tonkin
On August 4, 1964, President Lyndon Johnson went on national television and told the nation that North Vietnam had attacked U. S. ships.
‘Repeated acts of violence against the armed forces of the United States must be met not only with alert defense, but with a positive reply. That reply is being given as I speak tonight,’ Johnson declared.

Movement to Declassify 9/11 Information Gathers Momentum

9/11 Commission Chairs, Congressmen and Intelligence Officers All Call for Declassification
The 9/11 Commission Co-Chairs – Lee Hamilton and Thomas Kean – have called for the 28-page section of the 9/11 Commission Report which is classified to be declassified.
Kean said that 60-70% of what was classified shouldn’t have been classified in the first place:

Putin Calls for Eastern Ukraine Statehood

Putin threw fat into the Ukrainian fire today by calling for Talks on Eastern Ukraine Statehood.
The question at hand is” What precisely does Putin mean by “statehood” ?
Russian President Vladimir Putin called on Sunday for immediate talks on the “statehood” of southern and eastern Ukraine, although his spokesman said this did not mean Moscow now endorsed rebel calls for independence for territory they have seized.
The Kremlin leader’s remarks, two days after a public appearance in which he compared the Kiev government with Nazis and warned the West not to “mess with us”, came as Europe and the United States prepared possible further sanctions to halt what they say is direct Russian military involvement in the war in Ukraine.

Libya May Be Focus Of Major Rift Between US And Regional Allies

Submitted by Defense & Foreign Affairs via OilPrice.com,
It had become clear by late August 2014 that Libya could no longer be seen as a unified state; at best it was in two parts, even with the communal leaderships of both sides professing a desire to resume national unity. By late August 2014, the country had two parliaments: one elected by the Libyan people, and the other given legitimacy solely by foreign support.
The situation seemed so intractable by that point that it was possible that a full military intervention by regional states, perhaps spearheaded by Egypt, could be attempted, with the goal of stabilizing the country and eliminating the foreign-funded and foreign-armed jihadis who were using Libya as a springboard for a proposed pro-Islamist war against the current Egyptian Government.
The proxy forces of the 2011 unilateral intervention by Qatar, supporting jihadis and the Muslim Brothers (Ikhwan), and by Turkey and the US, into the Cyrenaican revolt against Mu’ammar al-Qadhafi, were still dominating the Libyan political scene, much to the frustration of Libyan tribal forces.
Qatar was creating a ‘Free Egyptian Army’ in the Cyrenaica desert, and patterned on the ‘Free Syrian Army’ which Qatar, Turkey, and the US had built to challenge Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.
Significantly, while the US and European Union (EU) continued in August 2014 to promote the concept of a unified Libya, they were basing their approach around what was essentially a modification of the mode of governance practiced by Mu’ammar al-Qadhafi, who seized power by a coup in 1969, and held it until 2011. Widespread Libyan calls for a return to the 1951 Constitution – drafted by the United Nations and the 140 or so Libyan tribes – have been consistently ignored by Washington and Brussels.
By August 2014, the foreign jihadist fighters – mainly linked to salafist groups and either directly or indirectly working with the Muslim Brothers (Ikhwan) – were still entrenched in Cyrenaica, in Eastern Libya (where the local moderate. anti-salafist Senussiyah sect of Islam predominates), supported by Qatar, Turkey, and the US Government. As well, they were entrenched around Tripoli.

NEW YORK TIMES CALLS FOR FULL-SCALE WAR IN UKRAINE

Demands guns, tanks, drones and NATO troops be deployed The New York Times describes the regime in Kiev installed by a violent coup d’tat and led in part by fascists and xenophobic nationalists as ‘one of us’ and demands the U. S. arm the regime in its war in eastern Ukraine.
‘The West needs to be honest with Ukraine. We talk as though this country were one of us – as if, one day, it will become a member of the European Union and the NATO alliance. That is Kiev’s wish, but the West is not giving Ukraine the means to fight this war,’ writes Ben Judah.
That is only the wish of some of the people of Ukraine. 96% of Crimeans voted to break away from the regime in Kiev earlier this year. In the oblasts of Donetsk, Odessa, Luhansk and elsewhere in Ukraine large Russian minorities want to sever relations with a government that includes members of Svoboda and others – Pravy Sektor, Patriots of Ukraine, Trizub, and Ukrainian National Self Defense – who advance radical Russophobic rhetoric. The leader of Svoboda, Oleh Tyahnybok, has called for liquidating “the Moscow-Jewish mafia” ruling Ukraine.
‘The uncomfortable truth is that a sizable portion of Kiev’s current government – and the protesters who brought it to power – are, indeed, fascists,’ Andrew Foxall wrote in March.

Middle-East ‘Frenemies’

The enemy of your enemy is your… frenemy; and so it is across the Middle East as the WSJ notes the spread of The Islamic State has united many parties once at odds with each other to become ‘strange bedfellows‘.
Strange Bedfellows Parties that display friction or outright aggression toward one another are finding themselves aligned in a desire to counter Islamic State.
Groups of colored lines between parties represent shared interests.

U. S. and Iran The U. S. and Iran share an interest in fostering an Iraqi government strong enough to fend off Islamic State.
U. S. and Syria The U. S. and Syria’s Bashar al-Assad share an interest in quashing Islamic State in Syria, even if the regime appears to put a higher priority on fighting other rebel groups.

The Intersection Of Church And State – In One Chart And 44 Bubbles

Curious what the political positions are of the various, and all too numerous some would say, religions and churches in America? This new graph, courtesy of Tobin Grant, maps the ideologies of 44 different religious groups using data comes from Pew’s Religious Landscape survey. This survey included 32,000 respondents. It asked very specific questions on religion that allow us to find out the precise denomination, church, or religion of each person.
Here are the key observations:
Churches that are similar religiously are also similar ideologically. Evangelicals are classic conservatives (small role in economy, protect morality). Pentecostals want a larger role for government on economic issues. Presbyterian Church in America, Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, and smaller Methodist churches have historical ties to both evangelicalism and mainline denominations. On the question of government and morality, they are between other evangelical churches and mainline denominations. Mainline churches hold similar economic views as evangelicals but want less government involvement protecting traditional morality. Christians in traditionally black denominations and evangelicals are similar in their views toward morality policy, but there is a large divide on economics. Catholics are large and represent the center on both dimensions. Jews are centrist on the economy. There is a major divide between both Conservative and Orthodox Jews and other streams of Judaism. This divide falls along the morality dimension. The ‘nones’ are united on their ideology toward morality (keep government out!) but there are interesting divides on government services. Atheists want more government services; agnostics favor less governmental involvement in the economy. If you consider Unitarians part of this group, then they’re the most supportive of government services.

The U.S. Is Now a ‘Third World’ Country

4.3% of Americans Survive on Less than $2/Day –
That’s Considered Poor in Even the Poorest Lands
Eric Zuesse
Slightly more than one American household with children in every 25 is surviving on less than $2 per day of income from all sources. One quarter of that 4.3% (that’s 1% of all Americans with children) receive less than $1.25 per day. One third (that’s about 1.33% of all Americans) receive between $1.25 and $2. Another third of that 4.3% receive enough government benefits to be living on between $1.25 and $2 a day. A tiny 0.1% of that 4.3% are even surviving somehow on ‘Negative income & benefits.’
On 26 August 2014, the co-authors of a Brookings Institution paper published a chart of those findings (reproduced here below, courtesy of the Brookings Institution) that looks like it might be some painting at the Museum of Modern Art, though what it refers to isn’t nearly so pretty, and is actually quite miserable:

Obama Has No Middle East Strategy? Good!

Last week President Obama admitted that his administration has not worked out a strategy on how to deal with the emergence of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) as a dominant force in the Middle East. However, as ISIS continues its march through Syria and Iraq, many in the US administration believe it is, in the words of Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, a threat ‘beyond anything we have ever seen.’ Predictably, the neocons attacked the president’s speech. They believe the solution to any problem is more bombs and troops on the ground, so they cannot understand the president’s hesitation. Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee Buck McKeon made it clear that fighting ISIS is going to cost a lot more money and will bring US forces back to Iraq for the third time. The post-Iraq, post-Afghanistan peace dividend disintegrates. Mr. McKeon said last week:
ISIS is an urgent threat and a minimalist approach, that depends solely on FY15 funding or pinprick strikes that leave fragile forces in Iraq and Syria to do the hard fighting, is insufficient to protect our interests and guarantee our safety in time.
What does this mean in practice? If the neocons have their way, the Federal Reserve will ‘print’ more money to finance another massive US intervention in the Middle East. In reality this means further devaluation of the US dollar, which is a tax on all Americans that will hit the poorest hardest.

Despite California’s drought, residents are promised access to several times more water than is actually available

There is a major water crisis currently sweeping California, and experts say outdated water allocation data is making the problem even worse. In many areas of the state, say experts, water control measures, many of which were established back in the 1920s and 1930s, have over-promised water that doesn’t actually exist, and water regulators are scrambling to make things right as the Golden State limps through one of the worst droughts in recorded history. According to the Los Angeles Register (LAR), the state has promised about five times more water to residents, businesses and public utilities than is actually available from its vast network of reservoirs, distribution canals and aquifers. This is because the State Water Resources Control Board does not actually know how much water is currently being used throughout the state, nor does it have accurate data on how much can legally and feasibly be distributed. A new study on the subject explains that there is such a significant backlog in water allocation data that state water regulators and local water managers are stumped as to where water use needs to be further restricted, and where it might need to be loosened. Despite the fact that more than 60 percent of the state is currently suffering through “exceptional” drought conditions, the most severe level, some freshwater is still reaching the ocean, for instance, which means it is being wasted.“If they don’t know how much water is being used, they’ll have to use a pretty blunt instrument,” explained study author Ted Grantham to LAR.

Putin Calls For “Immediate Talks” Over Eastern Ukraine “Statehood”

Vladimir Putin, who has repeatedly said that he does not favor the break-up of Ukraine – but only greater autonomy for the East, appears to have changed course rather dramatically today. In a speech broadcast on Russian TV, the Russian leader stated “we need to immediately begin substantive talks… on questions of the political organisation of society and statehood for southeastern Ukraine.” As The Washington Post reports, use of the word “statehood” reflects a major shift in Kremlin policy towards ‘Novorossiya‘ – it would be a direct challenge not only to Kiev but also to Western European nations and the United States, which have been trying to force Moscow to back down. While not directly addressing the latest round of sanctions chatter, Putin concluded, perhaps ominously, “they should have known that Russia cannot stand aside when people are being shot almost at point-blank.”

U.S. Court rules that biotech corporations can’t force grain elevator companies to accept GMOs

A federal appeals court has ruled that a biotech giant cannot force a grain elevator firm to store a strain of genetically modified corn. As reported by agriculture website Capital Press, Syngenta attempted to employ a 100-plus-year-old warehouse law to force the elevator company, Bunge, to accept the GM corn. The ruling may preempt other makers of GM seeds and crops from using the same litigation tactic against grain elevators that have refused to harbor crops with altered transgenic traits, according to experts. Controversy began in 2011, Capital Press reported, after Bunge operators refused to accept the Syngenta Seeds-produced Agrisure Viptera variety of corn. The elevator operators told farmers growing the GMO strain that they could not take it because it had yet to clear legal and regulatory requirements in all major export destinations. At the time, the strain had yet to be accepted by the Chinese government.‘You don’t have a private cause of action’Capital Press noted:In response, Syngenta filed a lawsuit accusing Bunge of violating the U. S. Warehouse Act of 1916, which requires elevators to treat depositors fairly.
Farmers who grew Viptera corn had to ship their crops to other elevators and find other sources of corn to fulfill their contracts with Bunge, which hurt Syngenta’s reputation and market share, the biotech company claimed.

OBAMACARE: DEATH PANELS WERE ALWAYS ON THE AGENDA

The New York Times runs front page endorsement Prior to Democrats ramming substandard corporatized medical care down the throats of the American people at gunpoint, Democrats argued that death panels would not be part of Obamacare. However, now that Obamacare is law, the truth has finally emerged – death panels are indeed part of the law.
On Saturday The New York Times reported that ‘the issue of paying doctors to talk to patients about end-of-life care is making a comeback, and such sessions may be covered for the 50 million Americans on Medicare as early as next year.’
Medicare will begin covering ‘end-of-life discussions’ next year. It will decide to institute this policy after consultation with the American Medical Association, the corporatist trade guild responsible in part for monopolizing medicine.

History Repeats As Another US President Ignores Multiple and Credible Terrorist Attack Warnings

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), ISIS, nor any other foreign terrorist group poses no specific threat to the United States in the immediate future. TheFBI, in a report released on August 13, 2014, echoed the same sentiment despite the fact that last year’s Boston Marathon bombing and the 2009 Fort Hood shooting were both carried out by radical Muslim extremists.
The British Are Telling a Different Story Despite the fact that the American intelligence agencies believe there are no foreign terror threats to the United States, the BBC is reporting that the UK, operating off o the same intelligence information as the DHS and the FBI, has led British Prime Minister, David Cameron, to state that the UK government raised its terror threat level from ‘substantial’ to ‘severe’.

Cops to City Council: ‘We Were Given an Illegal Traffic Ticket Quota’

For those who still say it’s a myth that cops are given quotas for how many tickets they have to write, maybe you’ve never been to Waldo, Florida. The National Motorists Association listed Waldo as the third worst speed trap for a town of 50,000 people or less in 2012, and it’s so bad, billboards like the one above are taken out to warn drivers before they get there.
But earlier this week, five police officers came forward to testify before the Waldo City Council that they are mandated to write a certain number of tickets each shift or face punishment – even though such a quota stands in direct violation of state law. Waldo, by the way, only has seven police officers to begin with.
