BY JOHN WARD From Athens to Washington via Berlin, Paris and London, we are getting the wrong policies for us, because they’re not designed to be for us in the first place Herewith a very small proportion of some major political cockups of recent vintage: The EU ‘annexed’ former Soviet satellites in central and eastern Europe without giving a thought to what the effect might be in terms of cheaper goods and lower-cost workers. The EU and US conspired to meddle in Ukrainian politics, and as a result were given a bloody nose by Putin. The EU created one currency across 18 cultural divides without giving any exit door, and as a result the Greek population is paying for the crimes of the pro-EU oligarchy. The EU is imposing a mad scorched earth policy on the Greeks in the bizarre hope that the grass will regrow two minutes after the fire goes out. The EU trampled all over Cyprus, and as a result Putin has completed a bailout deal with them….in return for naval bases there. The EU created a government structure in which unelected functionaries have all the ‘ideas’ – and the elected MEPs get to rubber stamp them – and hoped that democracy would flourish. The US blundered into Iraq twice, supported the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, bombed Iraq for a third time, supported the rebels in Syria, and then changed its mind to support Bashar Assad and bomb the rebels…all in pursuit of energy control, without ever trying with any consistency to develop beyond fossil fuels.
21st Century Wire says… This is quite the statement. Will further world leaders follow suit? Venzuela’s President, Nicolas Maduro, has revealed that all American citizens will require mandatory visas to visit the country. He also announced that Ex-President George W. Bush and Ex-Vice President Dick Cheney would be banned from entering the country under any circumstances; branding them ‘terrorists’ in the process. Republican Congress members Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Robert Menendez and Marco Rubioare also facing a ban from entry. Furthermore, ‘US diplomats will be required to seek approval from the Foreign Ministry for meetings they conduct in Venezuela.’ Maduro expelled diplomats he suspected of wrong-doing a few years back. At the end of 2014 Maduro claimed ‘to be in possesion of ‘recordings’ disclosing US plans to bribe and corrupt Venezuelan authorities’. He also accused the U. S. of attempting a coup. The plotters were allegedly paid in U. S. dollars and wanted to assassinate Maduro. Britain and Canada have also been involved with the coup attempt.
Boris Nemtsov had spent the better part of his adult life fighting the system. He had always been an ardent critic of Vladimir Putin, and was determined to convince his countrymen that liberalism and democracy were the only ways to prevent Russia from becoming a ‘pariah country.’ Last night, Nemtsov was leaving a restaurant in Moscow, while accompanied by Ukrainian model Anna Duritskaya, when a passing car opened fire on him, leaving him dead in the street. His body isn’t even cold, and theories abound as to who is responsible for the killing. For some, the most obvious culprit would be Putin. Russia has a long history eliminating those who oppose the prevailing regime, and Putin’s time in power has seen the deaths and detention of numerous journalists, defectors, and dissidents. However, it’s hard to say if the death of Nemtsov was really in Putin’s best interest. Putin has enjoyed the overwhelming support of most Russians in recent years (most polls place this support at around 80 percent), and it doesn’t appear that Nemtsov was really a threat to his rule. In the Russian political scene, being liberal or democratic is synonymous with being pro-US or even CIA run. These movements are marginal at best, and have even less support than the modern version of the Communist Party. Nemtsov was a fly on the back of Putin’s Russia, and killing him would only bolster a movement that was no threat to him.
If the sadists of ISIS are seeking – with their mass executions, child rapes, immolations, and beheadings of Christians – to stampede us into a new war in the Middle East, they are succeeding. Repeatedly snapping the blood-red cape of terrorist atrocities in our faces has the Yankee bull snorting, pawing the ground, ready to charge again. ‘Nearly three-quarters of Republicans now favor sending ground troops into combat against the Islamic State,’ says a CBS News poll. The poll was cited in a New York Times story about how the voice of the hawk is ascendant again in the GOP. In April or May 2015, said a Pentagon briefer last week, the Iraqi Army will march north to recapture Mosul from the Islamic State. On to Mosul! On to Raqqa! Yet, who, exactly, will be taking Mosul? According to Rowan Scarborough of The Washington Times, the U. S. general who trained the Iraqi army says Mosul is a mined, booby-trapped city, infested with thousands of suicide fighters.

ABSTRACT: It was a volatile yet rangebound week for the markets, with U. S. shares, precious metal prices, and oil prices all seeing choppy activity. European and Asian stock markets rose to fresh highs, the former amid an improving outlook for Greece and the eurozone. GOVERNMENT & POLICY Net Neutrality Gets a Whole Lot Murkier There are few current policy issues that seem to be less understood, and more shrouded in ambiguity, than the ‘Network Neutrality’ debate. That being the case, the discourse surrounding net neutrality has essentially been split down ideological lines. For starters, the FCC vote this week on the supposed net neutrality measure, endorsed by the president and others in his cohort, was divided by party affiliation, yielding a narrow 3-2 partisan decision in favor of expanding internet regulation. On the left, proponents of the newly-passed measures are crying foul about the absence of any rules preventing internet services providers (ISPs) from charging exorbitantly high fees for different content providers to use a ‘fast lane’ of dissemination. The lack of regulations opens a can of worms, as ISPs (predominantly Comcast and Verizon) can theoretically shakedown companies that provide content by slowing down their data transmission speeds, and extorting them for faster speeds. Although the evidence that such a scheme is – or will eventually be – taking place is inconclusive, the point is taken.
As the world contemplates the various ‘provocation’ scenarios – a Russian act, a CIA act meant to look like a Russian act, or a Russian act meant to look like a CIA act? – the following clip suggests this was anything but an ad hoc shooting…
The narrator suggests, as Nemtsov and his companion are walking along the road, a garbage truck (or cleaning vehicle) is behind them. When the garbage truck comes alongside the couple, it slows down, then moves ahead, then stops… and another man leaves the vehicle and jumps in a following car, which speeds away with tires smoking…

The recent 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz was a reminder of the great crime of fascism, whose Nazi iconography is embedded in our consciousness. Fascism is preserved as history, as flickering footage of goose-stepping blackshirts, their criminality terrible and clear. Yet in the same liberal societies whose war-making elites urge us never to forget, the accelerating danger of a modern kind of fascism is suppressed; for it is their fascism. "To initiate a war of aggression…," said the Nuremberg Tribunal judges in 1946, "is not only an international crime, it is the supreme international crime, differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole." Had the Nazis not invaded Europe, Auschwitz and the Holocaust would not have happened. Had the United States and its satellites not initiated their war of aggression in Iraq in 2003, almost a million people would be alive today; and Islamic State, or ISIS, would not have us in thrall to its savagery. They are the progeny of modern fascism, weaned by the bombs, bloodbaths and lies that are the surreal theatre known as news. Like the fascism of the 1930s and 1940s, big lies are delivered with the precision of a metronome: thanks to an omnipresent, repetitive media and its virulent censorship by omission.
There is no doubt in my mind at all that either this is a fantastically unlikely but always possible case of really bad luck for Putin—and Nemtsov was shot by some nutcase or mugged, or this was a absolutely prototypical western false flag: you take a spent politician who has no credibility left with anyone with an IQ over 70, and you turn him into an instant "martyr for freedom, democracy, human right and civilization". By the way if, as I believe, this is a false flag, I expect it to be a stunning success in the West and a total flop in Russia: by now, Russians already can smell that kind of setup a mile away and after MH-17 everybody was expecting a false flag. So, if anything, it will only increase the hostility of Russians towards the West and rally them around Putin. In the Empire, however, this will be huge, better than Politkovskaya or Litvinenko combined. A "Nemtsov" prize will be created, a Nemtov statue will be place somewhere (in Warsaw?), the U.S. Congress will pass a "Nemtsov law" and the usual combo package of "democratic hagiography" will be whipped-up. What worries me most is that the Russian security services did not see this one coming and let it happen. This is a major failure for the FSB which will now have a lot at stake to find out who did it. I expect them to find a fall-guy, a patsy, who will have no provable contacts with any western services and who, ideally, might even have some contacts with the Russian services (like Andrei Lugovoi). As for the "liberal" or "democratic" "non-system" – it will probably re-brand the upcoming protests as a "tribute to Nemtsov" thereby getting more people into the streets. There are folks in Langley tonight who got a promotion.
"The sovereign is he who decides on the exception,” said conservative thinker Carl Schmitt in 1922, meaning that a nation’s leader can defy the law to serve the greater good. Though Schmitt’s service as Nazi Germany’s chief jurist and his unwavering support for Hitler from the night of the long knives to Kristallnacht and beyond damaged his reputation for decades, today his ideas have achieved unimagined influence. They have, in fact, shaped the neo-conservative view of presidential power that has become broadly bipartisan since 9/11. Indeed, Schmitt has influenced American politics directly through his intellectual protégé Leo Strauss who, as an émigré professor at the University of Chicago, trained Bush administration architects of the Iraq war Paul Wolfowitz and Abram Shulsky. All that should be impressive enough for a discredited, long dead authoritarian thinker. But Schmitt’s dictum also became a philosophical foundation for the exercise of American global power in the quarter century that followed the end of the Cold War. Washington, more than any other power, created the modern international community of laws and treaties, yet it now reserves the right to defy those same laws with impunity. A sovereign ruler should, said Schmitt, discard laws in times of national emergency. So the United States, as the planet’s last superpower or, in Schmitt’s terms, its global sovereign, has in these years repeatedly ignored international law, following instead its own unwritten rules of the road for the exercise of world power.
21st Century Wire says… His career was truly galactic. Actor Leonard Nimoy played the role of ‘Dr. Spock’ in the long-running Star Trek television and film series, a career which spanned nearly five decades. Sadly, this great icon of the screen died yesterday at the age of 83. One thing is clear by the sheer amount of tributes from fans of Nimoy – that he was greatly admired and respected by so many, not just because of the brilliant character which he played, but because of the way he played it – inspiring audiences worldwide, with great poise, integrity and dignity. As modern mythological avatars go, his was one of the strongest ever constructed. Within, the Star Trek story, Spock’s assumed qualities which were beyond the grasp of humans – a superior intellect and power to apply logic in any instance – even under extreme duress, reliability in adversity, as well as the uncanny the ability to transcend petty emotions, and ‘the seven deadly sins’ which seemed to handicap his human crew mates. Through these popular science fiction dramas, Spock’s innate Vulcan abilities saved humanity, and the galaxy, many times over. Occasionally (and when it mattered most) he would also exhibit, albeit measured, certain endearing human insights and emotions. One might say he represented a ‘cosmic missing link’ between what is ‘out there’ and with humans on earth. This unlikely combination elevated Spock’s ‘humanoid’ character to an other-worldly status in the eyes of Star Trek followers. In this way, Nimoy’s role was perhaps bigger and more symbolic than any other.
KANSAS CITY, MO – A sickly eight-year-old boy was taken from his family and foisted into foster care after his parents sought a second medical opinion and recourse for alleged medical malpractice against their son. This is what happened to Jaxon Adams, now 8, who had suffered chronic illness since his youth. Over the years he was diagnosed with high-functioning autism, ADHD, severe food allergies, and eventually, epilepsy. He began having seizures. In June of 2013, his appetite subsided and he lost a considerable amount of weight, and had a gastronomy tube surgically inserted through his abdomen into his stomach. Jaxon’s parents, Tiffany and Jason Adams of Independence, sought care for the boy through nurse practitioner Ingrid Larson in Dr. Amber Hoffman’s practice at the Beacon Clinic in Children’s Mercy Hospital (CMH) in March of 2014, according to Health Impact News. After being under CMH care for several month, the Beacon Clinic staff confronted Tiffany and Jason Adams about the boy’s apparent ‘lack of nutrition’ at home. Health Impact News reported what happened next: When the nurse said that she couldn’t figure out why he hadn’t been gaining weight, Tiffany said that they would be looking for someone who would be able to figure it out. The parents had begun speaking with a medical malpractice attorney, who started looking into Jaxon’s medical records.
‘American and British feminism has amazingly collapsed backward again into whining, narcissistic victimology… Too many of today’s young feminists seem to want hovering, paternalistic authority figures to protect and soothe them, an attitude I regard as servile, reactionary and glaringly bourgeois…’ (Camille Paglia, the National Catholic Review, 2/25/15) I could have titled this piece: ‘What government fears: the black entrepreneur.’ But the situation is much wider than that – – Any person who comes out of an ‘officially designated victim-group’ …and then succeeds in life on his own… and then goes one step further and refuses to identify his entire existence with his group… but instead stands as a unique individual… why, that person, at the very least, must be a criminal, if not a terrorist, right? That’s the crux of the issue: never leave your group. That’s how society, civilization, and culture are promoted these days. ‘Groups have needs, agendas, and problems, and the solution will come from government.’ That’s the all-embracing formula. Who would invent and expand that formula? The beneficiary. Government. The fake appearance is: victim groups are fighting for recognition and special status, and the government is pushing back – but that’s now a ruse. That’s a cover story. In fact, victim groups and government have the same goal: a relationship based on dependence. One side depends and the other side gives and protects.
In the middle of last summer came news of a bizarre occurrence no one could explain. Seemingly out of nowhere, a massive crater appeared in one of the planet’s most inhospitable lands. Early estimates said the crater, nestled in a land called “the ends of the Earth” where temperatures can sink far below zero, yawned nearly 30 metres in diameter. One of the craters in Siberia’s so-called “ends of the earth”
The saga deepened. The Siberian crater wasn’t alone. There were two more, ratcheting up the tension in a drama that hit its climax as a probable explanation surfaced. Climate change had thawed the permafrost, which had caused methane trapped inside the icy ground to explode. “Gas pressure increased until it was high enough to push away the overlaying layers in a powerful injection, forming the crater,” one German scientist said at the time. Video of the craters…

Boris Nemtsov, a Russian dissident politician highly critical of President Vladimir Putin often sounded like an agent of Washington. He was shot and killed today on a street near Red Square. If Nemtsov wasn’t assassinated by the CIA in order to blame Putin, most likely Nemtsov was killed by Russian nationalists who saw him as Washington’s agent. Remembering the Magnitsky affair that resulted in sanctions imposed on Russians as a result of the US Congress over-reacting to a jail death in Russia, Nemtsov’s death will likely be blamed on Putin. The Western media will repeat endlessly, with no evidence, that Putin had his critic killed.
The wildly exaggerated threat of so-called Islamic terrorism is being shamelessly used by some western governments to boost their flagging fortunes at a time of economic malaise. Marketing fear is a sure-fire political ploy, as the Bush administration showed. But if you think promotion of ‘terrorism’ hysteria in order to curtail democratic freedoms is something new, have a look at Germany, 1933. In that year, Germany’s democratic Weimar republic was foundering under economic depression, mass unemployment and raging hyper-inflation. The Reichstag, or parliament, was deadlocked between bitterly feuding parties, including the minority National Socialists, led by Adolf Hitler, the Catholics, Socialists, and Communists. In Berlin, on the night of February 23, 1933, the Reichstag was burned down by a massive fire set by an arsonist. A young Dutch Communist found on the premises was charged with the arson attack. Germany was outraged and horrified by the crime – as much as was America after 9/11. The Communists, of course, quickly blamed the National Socialists (or Nazis, for short). But the most likely culprit was indeed the Dutch Communist. Five days later, Weimar President Paul Hindenberg, a conservative and war hero, signed a new act known as the Reichstag Fire Decree that suspended free speech and assembly and many legal protections. It gave government the right to arrest ‘terrorists’ under a state of emergency. In early March, Hitler promulgated the Enabling Act that used the threat of so-called ‘terrorism’ to give him virtual dictatorial powers. This coup was made possible by the support of the conservative Catholic Party which, having seen the slaughter of Catholics in Russia and Ukraine by Communists, decided the Nazis were a lesser evil than the Communists.

21st Century Wire says… This is truly one of the worst pieces of news in living memory, but to anyone who has been paying attention – it should not come as a big shock (which in itself is a very sad thing). This is only one single aspect of the new American Stasi… This week, thanks to The Guardian newspaper in Great Britain, the world discovered a building known simply as ‘Homan Square’ – an off-the-books urban prison where unspeakable things happen on a routine basis. Located just off of West Fillmore Avenue, it’s been described as Chicago’s answer to Abu Graib, where police employ ‘Gestapo tactics’, holding detainees in secrecy – and without access to lawyers or due process. Detainees are regularly subject to brutal treatment, including shackling, physical and mental abuse that has included, among other things, attacks to their face and genitals. This is happening in President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder’s home town of Chicago, and you’d expect they would be rushing to correct this gross injustice and fatal breach in public confidence. So far, it’s been pretty slow to the punch, perhaps because of who is meant to be in charge over there in the windy city… In 2010, Rahm Emanuel (photo, left) resigned from his post as President Barack Obama’s chief of staff and ran for Mayor of Chicago in 2011. He won the election and became mayor. Chicago’s crime and murder rates increased under Emanuel, and it’s hard to believe that the Mayor would not have known about such a large ‘black site’ under his nose. Did he turn a blind eye because he thought that maintaining this illegal facility in the heart of the Midwest’s largest city would show that he’s ‘tough on crime’?
One does not need to have insider sources to see the unmistakable patterns emerging from the false flag attack upon Arizona’s Internet covering approximately half of the state, geographically speaking. However, insider sources are beginning to emerge. But first, let’s connect some dots. After 72 hours following the attack on commerce and communications in central and northern Arizona, there are some disturbing details beginning to emerge. Brief Review of the Facts In Part One, it was established the Internet cables were cut, including those controlling commerce and communications in Arizona, stretching from north of Phoenix to Flagstaff. These cables were located in a remote and hard to access area. The cables were dug up and then cut with precision through a presumably encased and very thick and sophisticated aluminum alloy covering. The perpetrators made a getaway without so much as leaving tire treads or footprints leaving investigators with nothing to go on. It is also known that the scope of the attack is much more broad and varied than first believed. Both local reports and matching insider reports are beginning to filter in. What is curious is that the BBC and Russia Today are covering this event in greater detail than the local Arizona or American media. After reading this article, the reasons for the media blackout are about to become very apparent.
Submitted by Ron Holland via The Daily Bell, “War is merely the continuation of policy by other means.” – Carl von Clausewitz The political elites, Federal Reserve and special interests that really run the show hiding behind Congress and the president of either party in America’s closed two-party monopoly seem to be running scared in many regards. They rightly have many fears for their political future as well as the profits and survival of the major international corporations and banking interests that support the current political leadership and regime. Never has our nation, corporations and wealthy top 1% faced so many new threats to their efforts to grow their power and wealth around the world. Although there is enough blame and mistakes to go around, many of these threats can not really be blamed on our political or financial leaders but rather result from changes in the fast-paced world we live in today. Conspiracy theorists prefer to see the world in black and white with no gray areas and keep it simple by criticizing secret groups or powerful interests for every problem but I believe the real situation is far more complicated. But everyone should realize the free America we grew up in has been long dead and buried with only the institutions and slogans remaining to lull the dumbed down public into apathy and acceptance. Our leaders are not omnipotent and certainly do not have all the answers and I suggest they have few answers and are actually making everything up as they go along, hence why I fear they will ultimately choose war as a solution to their problems. Our America Does Not Exist Any More Of course, conspiracies exist and thanks to Edward Snowden’s publicity, America does indeed operate a global police state with intelligence gathering, torture and spying everywhere in the world. While I believe this effort is more directed toward controlling foreign and domestic politicians and powerful individuals than targeting helpless Americans who disagree with policies, this is a frightening situation for what once was the symbol of freedom and liberty for the entire world.

BRYAN, TX – Federal and local police forces raided a political meeting, taking unusual measures to document every attendee by taking fingerprints and photographs, and seizing every cell phone and all recording equipment in the meeting hall. The raid took place on February 14, 2015, at VFW Post 4892 in Bryan, Texas. At 10:10 a.m., an ‘army of policing agencies with flashing emergency lights’ showed up, shut down the meeting of ‘congenial and unimposing’ Texans and forced them to hand over their private effects and biometric data. MySanAntonio described the raid: Minutes into the meeting a man among the onlookers stood and moved to open the hall door, letting in an armed and armored force of the Bryan Police Department, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office, Agents of the Texas District Attorney, the Texas Rangers and the FBI. In the end, at least 20 officers corralled, searched and fingerprinted all 60 meeting attendees, before seizing all cellphones and recording equipment in a Valentine’s Day 2015 raid on the Texas separatist group. ‘We had no idea what was going on,’ said John Jarnecke, president of the Republic of Texas. ‘We knew of nothing that would warrant such an action.’ The meeting was the monthly gathering of a group known as the Republic of Texas. Drawing participants from hundreds of miles away, the group shares a common vision of an independence Texan nation. This group differentiates itself from others because it believes that the 19th century Republic of Texas was never legally dissolved, and the subsequent integration of Texan land into the USA was illegitimate. This is explained on the group’s Proclamation statement:
21st Century Wire says… Who are the ones pushing conspiracy theories these days? Those people on the internet, or the mainstream media? It has been reported that supposed ‘aviation expert’ Jeff Wise, appearing on CNN, stated that ‘Vladimir Putin ordered Russian special forces to hijack Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 and fly it to a spaceport in Kazakhstan’. This ‘expert’ ‘admits he has ‘no idea’ why the Russian President would want to’ do something like this. Here are some of his wild claims: ‘Maybe he wanted to demonstrate to the United States, which had imposed the first punitive sanctions on Russia the day before, that he could hurt the West and its allies anywhere in the world.’ ‘Maybe what he was really after were the secrets of one of the plane’s passengers.’ ‘Maybe there was something strategically crucial in the hold.’ ‘Or maybe he wanted the plane to show up unexpectedly somewhere someday, packed with explosives. There’s no way to know.’ Maybe, Mr Wise has absolutely no idea what he is talking about?
