American Police Are Shooting And Killing More Than 2 People Per Day In 2015

On Saturday we introduced readers to the ‘Ferguson Effect’. The idea is that the recent spate of prosecutions and instances of social unrest that followed a series of events involving perceived police misconduct directed at African Americans have made police officers gun shy – literally.
Here’s what Thomas W. Smith fellow at the Manhattan Institute and author of ‘Are Cops Racist?’ Heather Mac Donald wrote in a WSJ piece:
This incessant drumbeat against the police has resulted in what St. Louis police chief Sam Dotson last November called the ‘Ferguson effect.’ Cops are disengaging from discretionary enforcement activity and the ‘criminal element is feeling empowered,’ Mr. Dotson reported. Arrests in St. Louis city and county by that point had dropped a third since the shooting of Michael Brown in August. Not surprisingly, homicides in the city surged 47% by early November and robberies in the county were up 82%.
Similar ‘Ferguson effects’ are happening across the country as officers scale back on proactive policing under the onslaught of anti-cop rhetoric. Arrests in Baltimore were down 56% in May compared with 2014.
Note this passage: ‘Cops are disengaging from discretionary enforcement activity and the ‘criminal element is feeling empowered.” That, according to Mac Donald, is why crime is up across many American cities.
A second set of data casts considerable doubt on that thesis. According to The Washington Post, fatal police shootings have doubled with law enforcement now killing more than two people every day.

Controversial Journalist: ‘Relentless White Racism All The Time And Everywhere Is the Biggest Lie Of Our Lifetimes’

If you tuned your television exclusively to mainstream media broadcasts you’d probably think that racial violence and black victimization in America have reached a tipping point; that white-on-black crime was so out of control we were living under slavery or Jim Crow segregation again. But according to the controversial author of Don’t Make the Black Kids Angry and White Girl Bleed a Lot Colin Flaherty, this is the biggest lie in America.
You will never see this eye opening interview from Future Money Trends broadcast by the big alphabet media outlets because it touches on a topic that is too taboo to discuss openly in America today:
Flaherty explains that politically correct politicians and media personalities refuse to say that black-on-white crime is 50 to 100 times worse than instances of whites attacking blacks.
I write about black mob violence and black-on-white crime all over the country… and I document how the media ignores it, denies it, condones it, excuses it, encourages it and sometimes lies about it…

How The US Indirectly Armed ISIS With Over 2,300 Humvees

Curious how and why the US is “boosting” US GDP by selling over $4 billion worth of weapons to Israel, Iran and Saudi Arabia, ostensibly to provide these countries with protection against ISIS (the same ISIS, incidentally, which a leaked document last weekadmitted had been effectively created by the US)? Simple: by first “losing” a billion dollars worth of Humvees so that, drumroll, ISIS can be the best-armed “terrorist” force in the middle east, a force whose mere presence will demand billions in subsequent military orders from the US military-industrial complex by all those who are threatened by ISIS.
AFP reports that Iraqi security forces lost 2,300 Humvee armored vehicles when ISIS overran the northern city of Mosul, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Sunday.
“In the collapse of Mosul, we lost a lot of weapons,” Abadi said in an interview with Iraqiya state TV. “We lost 2,300 Humvees in Mosul alone.”
While the exact price of the vehicles varies depending on how they are armored and equipped, it is clearly a hugely expensive loss that has boosted ISIS’s capabilities.
Last year, the State Department approved a possible sale to Iraq of 1,000 Humvees with increased armor, machineguns, grenade launchers, other gear and support that was estimated to cost $579 million.
It is therefore safe to say that 2,300 Humvees would be worth a little over $1 billion: a great investment considering now the US can sell over $4 billion in weapons to countries “terrorized” by those same weapons!
As AFP reminds us, clashes began in Mosul, Iraq’s second city, late on June 9, 2014, and Iraqi forces lost it the following day to ISIS, which spearheaded an offensive that overran much of the country’s Sunni Arab heartland.

14,000 Websites Have Blocked Congress from Accessing Their Pages: Here’s Why

As of Friday afternoon, over 14,000 websites have blocked Congressional access to their pages, instead directing them to a protest page. The massive move is an effort to show Congress that its push for continued surveillance via the Patriot Act and USA Freedom Act is unwelcome.
Facilitated by Fight for the Future (a non-profit internet advocacy group), the process works by identifying IP addresses that originate from Congress. When a Congressional IP is detected, whatever website the user attempted to access redirects to blackoutcongress.org. There, the site declares, ‘Congress: this is a blackout.’ It explains to members of Congress (and presumably, their staff) why they were redirected:
‘We are blocking your access until you end mass surveillance laws. You have conducted mass surveillance of everyone illegally and are now on record for trying to enact those programs into law.’
The website also calls out issues with recent Congressional actions regarding domestic spying:

TPP death pool: more pharmaceutical destruction is coming

‘After any agreement is achieved between high-level criminals, there are two basic phases. First, conflicts arise, and the settlements are crude and sometimes painful. Second, the criminal parties realize, like the ‘gentlemen’ they are, that the jackpot they are sharing is big enough for everyone. So they unify their stance. They focus in on their real target: the public.’ -The Underground, Jon Rappoport
Question: ‘Who said that drug was safe? Where did that assessment come from? People are dropping like flies.’
Answer: ‘We all said it was safe. Remember? All twelve members of the TPP. We all agreed. So now we have to stick to our guns. Admit nothing. Keep your mouth shut.’
This ‘trade treaty,’ the TPP, will, if passed, eventually morph into a close-knit international collective of government agencies that collaborate on medical-drug ‘safety.’
Translation: the US FDA and Health Canada, and the Australian TGA, and the New Zealand MEDSAFE, and the medical regulatory agencies of Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, and Peru will: declare dangerous drugs to be safe. Together. On behalf of the corporations who manufacture them.
When a massive global agency, like the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), is actually a criminal organization, it enjoys special benefits, not the least of which is freedom from prosecution.
Now you’re talking about real power. Now you’re talking about the Wild West, in terms of the license to commit crimes.
Except, with such agencies, it all looks very organized, very legitimate, very sober, very corporate. The crazy outlaws wear suits and cut their hair. They carry briefcases and write reports. They don’t chew tobacco and spit the juice on the street. They don’t stagger out of saloons and fire their guns in the air.
They have workable relationships with the press. They’re faceless. They gnaw away at populations from the inside.
Among other corporate benefits, the TPP will allow pharmaceutical companies to extend the life of patents on drugs. And those drugs will be exported and imported, from country to country, with far less oversight re their destructive health effects, because, in phase one, drug companies will be able to sue governments, in private tribunals, for ‘restraint of free trade,’ when the specter of drug-dangers is raised and drug-imports are refused and turned away.

NSA Surveillance To Lapse At Midnight Although Extension Imminent With Obama’s Signature

‘This is a debate over the Bill of Rights,” exclaimed Rand Paul before this evening’s rare Sunday Senate vote which secured NSA Reform (but leaves a brief window of NSA shutdown before Obama signs the bill), adding, now seemingly falling on the most-bribed and deafest ears, that “this is a debate over the Fourth Amendment. This is a debate over your right to be left alone.’
In two speeches (one before the vote and one after), Paul implored reason among his colleagues.
Following John McCain’s jab that “the senator from Kentucky needs to learn the rules of the Senate,’ Paul raged “are we going to so blithely give up our freedom? Are we going to so blindly go along and take it?” The short answer, yes! The longer answer may well be summed up his defiant comment that ‘I’m not going to take it anymore,’ and with his voice rising to a shout, “I don’t think the American people are going to take it anymore.”
So rest easy America… you’re safe again!
As The Hill reports, The Senate voted on Sunday to advance legislation reforming National Security Agency surveillance programs in a 77-17 vote…
The bipartisan approval sets up a vote on final passage that will send the legislation to the White House, where President Obama has vowed to sign it. Sixty votes were needed to move forward.
But the legislation will not reach Obama’s desk until after midnight, when Patriot Act provisions authorizing the NSA programs expire.
That means there will be a lapse of the programs until the Senate can take a final vote on the legislation.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who has made the spying programs unearthed by former government contractor Edward Snowden a central part of his presidential candidacy, has vowed to force the expiration of the Patriot Act.
Paul argues the USA Freedom Act approved by the House does not go far enough to rein in spying programs that he and his allies argue are unconstitutional.

Third earthquake in one week hits Japan, no tsunami warning or reports of damage

May 2015 – JAPAN – Another earthquake, with a 6.4 magnitude and a depth of 13.4 kilometres, has hit off the Izu Islands in Japan this morning following Saturday’s 7.8 earthquake, according to United States Geological Survey (USGS). There was no immediate tsunami warning following the quake. Saturday’s earthquake which struck off the Japanese coast, geologists said, shook buildings in Tokyo and set off car alarms – tremors were also felt in Nepal and India. Despite the huge power of the quake, there was no risk of a tsunami as the earthquake was located too deep inside the earth, The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre reported. Residential buildings swayed for around a minute as the quake built in intensity around 8:30pm (9:30pm AEST). There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. The epicenter was 676 kilometers below the Earth’s surface and was centered on a remote spot in the Pacific Ocean around 870 kilometers south of Tokyo, the USGS said. Yoshiyuki Sasamoto, who runs a traditional guest house on Chichijima, one of the closest inhabited places to the epicenter, said the shaking had been violent.

This Is How Little It Cost Goldman To Bribe America’s Senators To Fast Track Obama’s TPP Bill

It took just a few days after the stunning defeat of Obama’s attempt to fast-track the Trans Pacific Partnership bill in the Senate at the hands of his own Democratic party, before everything returned back to normal and the TPP fast-track was promptly passed. Why? The simple answer: money. Or rather, even more money.
Because while the actual contents of the TPP may be highly confidential, and their public dissemination may lead to prison time for the “perpetrator” of such illegal transparency, we now know just how much it cost corporations to bribe the Senate to do the bidding of the “people.” In the Supreme Court sense, of course, in which corporations are “people.”
According to an analysis by the Guardian, fast-tracking the TPP, meaning its passage through Congress without having its contents available for debate or amendments, was only possible after lots of corporate money exchanged hands with senators. The US Senate passed Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) – the fast-tracking bill – by a 65-33 margin on 14 May. Last Thursday, the Senate voted 62-38 to bring the debate on TPA to a close.
Those impressive majorities follow months of behind-the-scenes wheeling and dealing by the world’s most well-heeled multinational corporations with just a handful of holdouts.
Using data from the Federal Election Commission, the chart below (based on data from the following spreadsheet) shows all donations that corporate members of the US Business Coalition for TPP made to US Senate campaigns between January and March 2015, when fast-tracking the TPP was being debated in the Senate.

Mapping An ISIS Advance: Syria On The Brink

Recently, calls for US ‘boots on the ground’ in Syria have gotten louder after ISIS captured a UNESCO World Heritage site in Syria, overran Ramadi in Iraq, and took credit for a suicide bombing in a Saudi mosque.
The US is now reportedly looking at its options including sending so-called ‘spotters’ to Iraq who will help to make US airstrikes more effective and meanwhile, uber hawks like Senator John McCain (who has himself had a bit of trouble shaking rumors that he was once photographed with the same ISIS forces he now wants to annihilate) saying that as many as 10,000 US troops are necessary to turn the tide. From Bloomberg:
Arizona Republican Senator John McCain, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, speaks during panel discussion at regional security summit in Singapore. Islamic State is winning in Iraq, Syria: McCain
Air strikes without foreign troops on the ground providing real time targeting information aren’t effective: McCain.
McCain says he blames President Barack Obama’s decision to withdraw troops from Iraq for emergence of Islamic State.

Was Charlie Hebdo a ‘Convenient’ Incident for Policymakers?

Many Questions On the 7th of January two gunmen attacked the office of Charlie Hebdo, a French weekly magazine. The shooters were two brothers who belonged to the Yemeni branch of the Islamist terrorist organization Al-Qaeda. The attack resulted in 11 casualties and many injured, while the shooters were shot a few days later in an exchange of fire with the police. Charlie Hebdo is a satire magazine, and its jokes and cartoons and its secular approach are widely considered anti-religious. Social media went into a frenzy with the hashtag ‘Je suis Charlie’. Four days later two million people including tens of world leaders participated in a rally for national unity in Paris, and over three million participated across France. A lot of questions were raised by this tragic event and its aftermath that we will look at in this article.
How Free Should Free Speech be When it Comes to Religion?
Let’s start with the obvious: What was the motive of the shooters? According to witness reports of the attack, one of the shooters said ‘You are going to pay for insulting the Prophet’. Charlie Hebdo’s cartoons and jokes are regarded as quite controversial, as they mock all religions, whether Islam, Christianity or Judaism. When respect to Islam, they repeatedly published cartoons of Mohammed, which infuriated Muslim communities worldwide as images of the Prophet are not allowed to be depicted according to Islamic teachings. Not only was the magazine sued for this, its editor-in-chief, who was killed in the attack, had been on the hit list of the Al-Qaeda branch in Yemen for some time.

Russia Wards Off “Provocative And Aggresive” US Warship In Black Sea

We are used to plane-on-plane “close encounters”…

Yet Another Banker Commits Suicide

At this point, it’s hard to say how many bankers have killed themselves over the past two years, which is a troubling thought when you consider how ‘good’ the economy is supposedly doing. On Thursday, another investment banker joined that ever-growing list, after he killed himself in New York City. He leapt from his home on the 24th floor of the Ocean Luxury Apartment Building and landed in the traffic below, leaving a grizzly scene for commuters. And as is all too common in our society today, after the impact mangled his body, tourists on an open air bus scrambled for their phones to take pictures. – See more at:

California Water Crisis: What’s Next

In recent news, there has been significant coverage of California’s struggle with its below average precipitation in the past several years. Yes, they call it a drought.
Governor Jerry Brown and California State Water Resources Control Board have come forward with restrictions on water use, primarily in urban and suburban areas.
People are ripping up lawns.
Landscape designers are drooling (not too much) over the opportunity to redesign so many areas for better water conservation. Many are replacing lawns with cookie-cutter designed ‘xeriscapes’ or ‘desertscapes’ such as this one.
Urbanites are pitted against agrarians saying the other is more responsible.
One recent interview on NPR highlights cemetery caretakers wondering ‘if cemeteries, particularly for veterans, shouldn’t play by different rules than, say, a suburban lawn’?
And now, there’s a struggle between allowing salmon to spawn and the ability of Bay area residents to drink water that doesn’t taste funky.
This is where I follow up with saying, ‘The end is near!’
OK so perhaps I’m making light of the situation a bit. This is a serious situation. But we have gotten ourselves into this mess. We have been deliberately diminishing our water resources in the western US for a long time.

Creator Of Infamous “Hope” Poster Lashes Out At Obama, Calls Americans “Ignorant And Lazy”

Before the people realized that behind the “most transparent administration ever” there was nothing but double seasonal adjustments, drones and an impenetrable layer of propaganda and lies, there was…

And change, of course.
Sadly, at some point over the past six years the hope died, first for the people (if not the bankers), and then for the creator of the infamous “Hope” poster himself, Shepard Fairey who told Esquire magazine in an interview that Obama has not come even close to embodying the break with the past administration that Fairey and so many voters hoped he would.
“I mean, drones and domestic spying are the last things I would have thought [he’d support].”
But support them he did while crushing the much promised transparency and freedom for the masses, for one simple reason: money, the same reason why Fairey is almost willing to give Obama a pass, again. Money, and of course, power and control of the masses by the select few.

France’s National Front Party Joins UK In Call For EU In/Out Referendum

Just days after David Cameron’s “I promise a referendum” victory in the British elections, which JPMorgan warns now looks likely to happen as early as 2016, France’s far-right National Front party has called for an in/out referendum on the EU at the same time as the UK holds its vote. As EUObserver reports, Florian Philippot, an MEP and the party’s deputy head wrote to French President Francois Hollande this week, “the time has come to ask everybody in Europe Yes or No – if they want sovereignty to decide on their own future.”
With French daily Le Figaro, in an Ifop poll published on Friday, finding 62% of French people would vote No to the EU constitution again if they were asked the same question as 10 years ago, the question of a French referendum is serious for the future of the EU. As EUObserver reports,
Florian Philippot, an MEP and the party’s deputy head, wrote on Thursday (28 May) that president Francois Hollande should ‘follow the British example’ and ‘follow the calendar outlined by our neighbours across The Channel’. ‘The time has come to ask everybody in Europe Yes or No – if they want sovereignty to decide on their own future’.
He added that British PM David Cameron, who is currently on a tour of European capitals to sound out feeling on a renegotiation of EU powers, ‘with this referendum … has put himself in a powerful position to demand real reforms’.

Jade Helm’s Role in the 90% Reduction in US Population As Predicted By the CIA and the Obama Administration

The Internet is filled with revelations of how the global elite want to depopulate humanity by 90%. Landmarks such as the Georgia Guidestones are at the top of the evidence list for proof of this agenda. There is an emerging body of evidence that the Georgia Guidestones are a correct representation of this idea.
ow does Jade Helm factor into the plans of the global elite and their desire to reduce the global population by 90%? Jade Helm will be the new national police force which will usher America into it new and very ominous new era.
Where one finds a bold new initiative related to the plans of the global elite, one will also find documentation arising from various think tank organizations in support of these goals.
With regard to the coming forced subjugation of the American population to the ‘stack and pack’ megacities, two important papers, the 3-D: Infrastructure for California’s Future and the National Academy of Public Administration’s ‘Memos to National Leaders: Partnerships as Fiscal Policy’, jump to the front of the line in espousing the megacities concept. On August 27, 2014, I exposed the megacities concept in revealing something called the America 2050 plan. America’s 2050 plan is the product of the Obama administration through the creator of the Agenda 21 program known as ‘Building

Act Now To Terminate The Gestapo PATRIOT Act – John V. Walsh

Contact Your Senator NOW – An Important Victory is Just Within Sight. YOU Can Terminate The Patriot Act and Its Ugly Siblings.
John V. Walsh
This Sunday, at midnight, the notorious Section 215 of the Patriot Act is set to expire. Section 215 has been the basis for the bulk collection of communications of all Americans, indeed of all the world. It was born under Bush in the wake of 9/11, and Obama kept it alive in beginning in 2010 – until now. But on Sunday a stake can be driven through its heart – if WE act NOW. This is not simply a possibility but a likelihood!
Obama and his co-conspirators, both Republican and Democratic Senate ‘leadership’ are hell-bent on keeping this Frankenstein alive. If they cannot, then they have other monsters in line to take its place. In addition to the original Patriot Act, there are on the table three other bills, all phony reforms of the U. S. Patriot Act.
Yesterday a large group of civil libertarian and other organizations sent a letter to the Senate leadership calling for the Senate to block not only Section 215 of the original Patriot Act but also all three ersatz reform bills, which are the USA Freedom Act (already defeated once in the Senate), a bill put forward by Senator Burr and another put forward by Senator Feinstein.
The stunning breadth of the opposition to all the schemes for keeping the Spy State alive is conveyed by the extraordinarily diverse list of signing organizations – from the ACLU to Tea Party Nation, from American Library Association to Gun Owners of America, from CREDO to Republican Liberty Caucus, from Electronic Frontier Foundation to Human Rights Watch. And as their letter makes clear, they want neither Patriot Act nor any of the so-called ‘reforms’ being touted to keep it alive. So the possibility of a victory has turned into the likelihood of one. But action is required NOW.

The Ukraine Imbroglio: John Batchelor Interviews Stephen F. Cohen

A lot has happened since Sec. State, Kerry made his dramatic turnaround visit with Putin in Sochi, and our favourite pundits note that not a lot of it sees a good outcome for Minsk2 and the Ukraine Civil War. In brief the hostilities have not ceased there, nor has the New Cold War warmed any. For example, on May 17, Assistant Sec. State Nuland (f**k the E.U.) was in Moscow to see if Washington could be involved in Minsk2 discussions and stated in leaving that Minsk2 would not be realized until Russia stopped attacking in the Donbass – thereby torpedoing the diplomacy herself. The Ukrainian Rada withdrew its transit permission for Russian troops to supply the breakaway province of Transnistria from Moldova. And ignoring the Western troops already in Ukraine, NATO hypocritically demands the withdrawal of all Russian troops from the Donbass. And lastly, Kiev is calling out frantically for financial aid from the West.
Once again Stephen F. Cohen and John Batchelor discuss all these points in all their horrendous greater details, and especially the infighting of the various war parties in NATO, the EU, and Washington. All is revealing that Putin is likely still on his game plan of allowing the economic collapse of Ukraine to resolve itself in regime change. It is very clear from this discussion that Cohen understands that there is a real trust issue that is going to hinder any détente possible with Washington, and that Ukraine still remains the hot bed of instability for war between Russian and the West.
