It’s been quite the last couple of weeks. Much has happened. And most people don’t even know the half of it.
What we keep hearing is that the Confederate flag is being taken down. And the Rainbow flag is being raised. (Wedding planners and divorce lawyers, we’re sure, are celebrating hard over the latter.)
Now, we are your biggest advocates for equal human rights. We believe, of course, in individual rights for all people and equality before the law. So the recent Supreme Court ruling, we say, is a success for liberty.
And the Charleston shooting was, of course, an unbelievably evil tragedy.
And, sure, we’re not against having a debate about what the Confederate flag represents. There’s always more we can learn about American history. But we believe that it’s taking our attention away, first, from the tragedy itself. And it’s also distracting us from what the snakes are up to on the Hill.
And, boy are they taking advantage of this lapse of attention.
Before we dig into what’s happening in Washington D. C., let’s see what’s missing from the Charleston conversation…
First, as mentioned, in the midst of the flag debate, we’ve lost sight of the tragedy from which this debate spawned.
Instead of keeping the spotlight on Dylann Roof, the lone individual who committed the act of terror, many mainstream media sources are on their knees, furiously blowing the glistening coals of racial conflict.
And while most keep their eyes fixated on the fire, several agendas are being played out – right now – right under our noses. Agendas that hurt us all – regardless of our skin pigmentation – far more than they help…
For one, the political-media alliance is busy teaching Americans to ignore the problem of tyranny – and to blame the symptoms of a government-gone-rogue on a lack of safety.
The militarization of the police and Jade Helm – both of which we’ve covered here in our digital leaves – are only two examples of this overreach.
Also, this unholy alliance is teaching Americans to ignore its country’s rampant mental health issues and to, instead, blame our ills on guns. (Meanwhile, if this is any indication of where the gun grab leads: Britain is working on banning knives… knives!)
Guns, we ask? But what of Big Pharma’s chemical cocktails? Why isn’t the same amount of cyber ink spilled about those concoctions? Dylann Roof wasn’t the only one loaded up on prescription-ready drugs before committing a horrific act against humanity.
According to the Citizens Commission on Human Rights International (CCHR), the mental health watchdog: ‘at least 35 school shootings and/or school-related acts of violence have been committed by those taking orwithdrawing from psychiatric drugs, resulting in 169 wounded and 79 killed. (In other school shootings, information about their drug use was never made public – neither confirming or refuting if they were under the influence of prescribed drugs).’
