August 2016 – WASHINGTON – American democracy would break new ground if Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump left a presidential ticket vacancy before the Nov. 8 general election. The presidential election could be delayed or scrapped altogether if conspiracy theories become predictive and a candidate dies or drops out before Nov. 8. The perhaps equally startling alternative, if there’s enough time: Small groups of people hand-picking a replacement pursuant to obscure party rules. The scenarios have been seriously considered by few outside of the legal community and likely are too morbid for polite discussion in politically mixed company. But prominent law professors have pondered the effects and possible ways to address a late-date vacancy. ‘There’s nothing in the Constitution which requires a popular election for the electors serving in the Electoral College,’ says John Nagle, a law professor at the University of Notre Dame, meaning the body that officially elects presidents could convene without the general public voting. ‘It’s up to each state legislature to decide how they want to choose the state’s electors,’ Nagle says. ‘It may be a situation in which the fact that we have an Electoral College, rather than direct voting for presidential candidates, may prove to be helpful.’
August 2016 – WASHINGTON – Even before the FBI identified new cyber attacks on two separate state election boards, the Department of Homeland Security began considering declaring the election a ‘critical infrastructure,’ giving it the same control over security it has over Wall Street and the electric power grid. The latest admissions of attacks could speed up that effort possibly including the upcoming presidential election, according to officials. ‘We should carefully consider whether our election system, our election process, is critical infrastructure like the financial sector, like the power grid,’ Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said. ‘There’s a vital national interest in our election process, so I do think we need to consider whether it should be considered by my department and others critical infrastructure,’ he said at media conference earlier this month hosted by the Christian Science Monitor.

A previous article discussed mysterious deaths associated with the Clintons, dating from when Bill was Arkansas attorney general in the 1970s. Were they suicides as reported or murders? Cover-ups and lack of proper media investigative work conceal full knowledge of what happened. Yet one thing seems clear. Anyone able to expose Clinton crime family wrongdoing not already made public runs the risk of dying under mysterious circumstances, indicating possible foul play. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is at risk, especially after saying he’ll release thousands of ‘significant’ documents on Hillary before November’s election. Asked by Fox News if new revelations could be an election game-changer, he said: ‘(i)t depends on how it catches fire.’ So far, the constant drip of new damning information on Hillary hasn’t affected her v. Trump based on polling results. Will Assange release anything likely to change things? Not easily with media scoundrels one-sidedly supporting her.
I’m sure you’ve always wondered why pretty much every retailer unnecessarily asks you for your email address at checkout. For years, I’ve always declined and will definitely continue to do so, particularly after reading the following. From GeekWire: Another day, another reminder that companies don’t really have to abide by promises to not share your personal information. They have a big ‘but’ in their contracts. Last week, it was WhatsApp and Facebook. We’ll get to that in a moment. This week, millions of Sports Authority customers began receiving notices that their e-mail addresses and other data were about to be transferred to competitor Dick’s Sporting Goods. The transfer is legal because Sports Authority declared bankruptcy and sold off its spare parts this summer. Dick’s, smartly and legally, bought the customer information. According to the L. A. Times, a treasure trove of 25 million e-mails and some other data cost Dick’s $15 million. So you might not think your data is valuable, but someone sure does. First, here is your need-to-know. The transfer is happening right now. You should look for an email from Sports Authority explaining the terms and how to opt-out. Go to SAPrivacyTransferNotice.com and opt out there if you wish. (Update: Looks like you’ll need a code from the email, which is an unnecessary and consumer-unfriendly hurdle) But you probably didn’t know that. In fact, when Sports Authority asked for your email, you may have been told, ‘We won’t share it’ by an employee or a web page. Consumers are often told that. It’s a lie, unless it includes the ‘but,’ which is often casually omitted or otherwise missed by consumers.
The Navy officer in the picture below got a lot of attention back in May when he accompanied Hillary to a Memorial Day parade in her home town of Chappaqua, NY. Many online questioned whether Hillary had paid an actor to convince voters she had military supporters. Turns out, that Navy officer is retired Chief Culinary Specialist, Oscar Flores, of the U. S. Navy Reserve, and he seems to have an unusually close relationship with the Clintons. Flores originally served as Bill’s White House Chef but has stuck with the Clintons over the years and currently serves as their “Director of Operations” at their home in Chappaqua. In fact, according to a note from CNBC, the Clinton’s are so tight with their chef that back in 2011 then Secretary of State Hillary chartered a G-5 to attend his Navy retirement ceremony in San Diego. Per Hillary’s official schedule below, she also brought Bill, Chelsea and her mom, Dorothy Rodham, along for the ride…the extra seats were just going to be wasted otherwise…might as well bring the family along to enjoy the lovely San Diego weather.

Hillary Clinton has undeniable issues when it comes to telling the truth, as yet more emails – this time, dozens pertaining to the 2012 attack on U. S. installments in Benghazi, Libya – from her personal server have been revealed during the FBI’s investigation that were never turned over. Thirty such emails are now in question, as the former secretary of state’s claims she handed over all work-related emails for an investigation wears thinner by the day. As the Associated Press reports, ‘Government lawyers told U. S. District Court Judge Amit P. Mehta Tuesday that an undetermined number of emails among the 30 were not included in the 55,000 pages previously provided by Clinton.’ The State Department’s lawyer told the judge it would take through the end of September to vet the documents and redact any classified information prior to release – but Mehta, skeptical of a lengthy delay, ordered State to report back in a week with an explanation for why it would the process would take so long. One of many lawsuits brought by conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch was the subject of Tuesday’s hearing. Judicial Watch, hackers, the FBI, and an unidentified source through Wikileaks have all provided further information proving a pattern of mendacity by Clinton, her campaign, and the Democratic National Committee in recent months – but the Democratic nominee continues to feign ignorance about how classified and work-related emails weren’t turned over pursuant to several investigations.
In a move that is certain to spark another round of what much of the left-of-center media has dubbed “unfounded conspiracy theories” about the health of Hillary Clinton, overnight President Obama’s former physician, Dr. David Scheiner told CNN that he believes Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton should have a neurological examination due to her history of brain injury. In the interview, Scheiner argued that Clinton’s letter from her doctor, which details that Clinton had follow-up testing in 2013 that showed a full recovery from a concussion and that she tested negative for clotting disorders, is not enough.

I think that both candidates, Crooked Hillary and myself, should release detailed medical records. I have no problem in doing so! Hillary? — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2016
I don’t possess any more insight than you do regarding the medical condition of Hillary Clinton. However, what I do know is that given her age and health history asking questions about it is definitely not conspiracy theory. While hordes of pundits with no medical training claim otherwise, an increasing number of high profile doctors seem to agree with my obvious conclusion. As I highlighted in last week’s post, Questioning Hillary’s Health is Not Conspiracy Theory: Lately many in the media have become outraged that Clinton’s health is being broached at all. And what are the primary two words associated when Donald Trump, a Trump surrogate or conservative media bring up Clinton’s medical condition? ‘Conspiracy theories.’ But are they all just engaging in wacky speculation in an effort to take down Clinton, where she has a relatively comfortable 5.5-point lead in the RealClearPolitics average of polls? At first, Clinton health speculation was something you could read about on Drudge or Brietbart or hear about on ‘Hannity’ on Fox News. But recently, other medical voices have come forward to bring the narrative to a non-partisan, legitimate level.
People have likened the modern American police state to a return of Nazi Germany’s SS. Now, leaked documents from George Soros’ Open Society Foundation show that the organization’s goal behind funding the Black Lives Matter movement is ultimately to federalize America’s police forces. The document is aptly called, ‘Police Reform: How to Take Advantage of the Crisis of the Moment and Drive Long-Term Institutional Change in Police-Community Practice.’ Breitbart reported: The document states that the Foundations’ U. S. Programs (USP) was seeking to use ‘this moment’ – meaning the so-called crisis in policing following high profile shootings and charges of racism – to ‘create a national movement’ for police reform. States the board meeting document: The federal government is seeking philanthropic support for a number of its initiatives. In addition to seeking support to advance the implementation of the recommendations of the Presidential Taskforce, the White House recently launched the Policing Data Initiative to explore how best to use data and technology to build trust, voice, and solutions to improve community policing. The Department of Justice recently selected the first six cities to host pilot sites for the National Initiative for Building Community Trust and Justice, which was launched last fall to help repair and strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve by exploring strategies intended to enhance procedural justice, reduce implicit bias, and support racial reconciliation.

Editor’s Note: Apparently we, as American citizens, in an age of omnipresent data collection and surveillance, still cannot answer the very important and otherwise basic question: ‘How many Americans are actually killed in police custody?’ The question of ‘How many Americans are actually killed in police custody?’ is one that, unfortunately, does not have a readily available answer. With increased attention on police killings in recent years, it has become clear that such fatalities are often not tracked and misreported, forcing news organizations and advocacy groups to piece together information about the untold number of lives lost at the hands of law enforcement. Seeking to change that, on Monday, 67 leading rights and civil liberties organizations sent an open letter to the Department of Justice (DOJ) demanding that the federal bureau hold local law enforcement agencies accountable by giving teeth to the recently reauthorized Death In Custody Reporting Act (DICRA) and threatening to withhold grant money if they do not comply. To give an idea of just how under-reported these statistics are, of the more than 18,000 law enforcement agencies nationwide, only 224 reported an approximate 444 police shootings to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 2014. However, citing Guardian and Washington Post reporting on these fatalities, the groups note, ‘we have reason to believe that annual numbers of people killed by police exceeds 1,000.’
In a revealing statement that flew largely under the radar earlier this month, the mainstream media admitted it would never recover from its irresponsible and negligent coverage of the 2016 presidential election. A recent column published in theNew York Post referred to the media’s reporting as ‘the complete collapse of American journalism as we know it.’ In his article for the Post, Fox News contributor Michael Goodwin discussed the media’s pro-Clinton bias – one recognized by supporters of virtually every other presidential candidate, from Bernie Sanders to Jill Stein to Gary Johnson and, of course, Donald Trump. Even Americans who don’t necessarily have a horse in the 2016 race notice the slant. ‘By torching its remaining credibility in service of Clinton,’ Goodwin wrote, ‘the mainstream media’s reputations will likely never recover, nor will the standards. No future producer, editor, reporter or anchor can be expected to meet a test of fairness when that standard has been trashed in such willful and blatant fashion.’ Indeed, he is correct in this regard. The Clinton machine has effectively infiltrated corporate media. Last year, the Intercept reported MSNBC failed to disclose that multiple pundits who spoke favorably about Clinton were actually employees of a consulting firm hired by her campaign.

Do you smirk when you hear someone question the official stories of Orlando, San Bernardino, Paris or Nice? Do you feel superior to 2,500 architects and engineers, to firefighters, commercial and military pilots, physicists and chemists, and former high government officials who have raised doubts about 9/11? If so, you reflect the profile of a mind-controlled CIA stooge. The term ‘conspiracy theory’ was invented and put into public discourse by the CIA in 1964 in order to discredit the many skeptics who challenged the Warren Commission’s conclusion that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated by a lone gunman named Lee Harvey Oswald, who himself was assassinated while in police custody before he could be questioned. The CIA used its friends in the media to launch a campaign to make suspicion of the Warren Commission report a target of ridicule and hostility. This campaign was ‘one of the most successful propaganda initiatives of all time.’ So writes political science professor Lance deHaven-Smith, who in his peer-reviewed book, Conspiracy Theory in America, published by the University of Texas Press, tells the story of how the CIA succeeded in creating in the public mind reflexive, automatic, stigmatization of those who challenge government explanations. This is an extremely important and readable book, one of those rare books with the power to break you out of The Matrix. Professor deHaven-Smith is able to write this book because the original CIA Dispatch #1035-960, which sets out the CIA plot, was obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request. Apparently, the bureaucracy did not regard a document this old as being of any importance. The document is marked ‘Destroy when no longer needed,’ but somehow wasn’t. CIA Dispatch #1035-960 is reproduced in the book.
The drumbeats of war are growing louder. Fighting in eastern Ukraine between separatists and pro-government forces has risen to an intensity not seen in well over a year, and the Russians claim that they recently foiled a ‘Ukrainian plot’ to conduct terror attacks in Crimea. As tensions in the region have increased, the Russians have used the cover of ‘military drills’ to move massive amounts of troops and military equipment up to the border with Ukraine. This is something that I wrote about a couple of weeks ago, but things have intensified since then, and a huge military exercise is planned for September. Needless to say, the Ukrainians are quite alarmed by this, and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is warning that a full scale mobilization of the Ukrainian military may be needed. If something is going to happen, it is likely to happen soon. As you will see below, once we get into October it will become much less likely that we would see a Russian invasion of Ukraine. We aren’t hearing much about this conflict in the U. S. media, but over in Europe this is a very big deal. Just consider the following excerpt from an article in the Independent entitled ‘Russia is teetering on the brink of ‘all out war’ with Ukraine’… Ukraine is holding a major military parade in Kiev today to mark its 25th anniversary as an independent state. But, at a time that should otherwise be a moment of national celebration, a serious crisis with Moscow is flaring up. So serious, in fact, that on Tuesday the Russian President Vladimir Putin, German ChancellorAngela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande were forced to hold a three-way phone call to try to de-escalate the situation. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has even warned that there is growing risk of a ‘full scale Russian invasion along all fronts,’ ratcheting up what is already the bloodiest European conflict since the wars over the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s.
Democratic primary voters in South Florida’s 23rd Congressional District ignored the Democratic National Committee scandal that has engulfed Debbie Wasserman Schultz and gave the incumbent a 56.46 percent win over her Democratic challenger, Tim Canova, who claimed 43.54 percent of the vote. Unfortunately for Canova, who had the backing of Senator Bernie Sanders and his supporters, Independents were not allowed to vote in this closed primary. Wasserman Schultz will still have to compete against a Republican rival, Joe Kaufman, in the November 8 general election. Her District is heavily Democratic, however, and she is expected to achieve an easy win – unless new scandals arrive between now and election day. Canova is a law professor at Nova Southeastern University. This was his first endeavor in running for public office. His strong showing in this race and his ability to raise $3.3 million from predominantly small donors around the country suggests that voters have not heard the last from Tim Canova. Fundraising data at the Center for Responsive Politics shows that Wasserman Schultz’s main campaign committee raised a similar $3,373,950 but her Leadership PAC spent an additional $1,193,571. According to Politico, the ‘super PAC Patriot Majority PAC also spent $640,000 to back her.’ Unlike Canova, whose small donors constituted 75 percent of his fundraising total, only 23 percent of Wasserman Schultz’s main campaign committee donors were small.
Two months ago at the annual Benjamin Graham Conference in New York City, billionaire hedge fund manager Leon Cooperman told the audience that their industry was on the ropes. ‘[O]ur industry is in turmoil. It’s very ironic because you’ve got Clinton and Sanders crapping all over us and they don’t realize Wall Street is in the midst of a very serious downturn. . .’ He’s right. Investors are bailing on hedge funds in record numbers because these hot shot investment managers aren’t able to generate meaningful investment returns. All the tricks that used to work for them in the past are now falling flat.
