Portland Rose Parade Cancelled Amid THREATS OF VIOLENCE From Anti-Fascists: ‘You Have Seen How Much Power We Have… Police Can’t Stop Us’

For a bunch of peace loving, tolerance spewing social justice warriors, it sure does appear that the new ‘progressive’ movement in America is rapidly turning to Bolshevik tactics to force their will upon a free and non-violent people.
The latest example of a society on the brink of civil war comes to us from Portland, Oregon, where every year the 82nd Avenue of Roses Business Association kicks of the city’s annual Rose Festival with a family-friendly parade.
Except this year, there will be no parade. Organizers have cancelled the event amid threats of violence from groups referring to themselves as ‘Anti-Fascist.’ According to The Washington Post, the reasoning behind the threats is reportedly outrage over the fact that the county’s Republican Party was given one of the nearly 100 spots in the parade.
Then came an anonymous and ominous email, according to parade organizers, that instructed them to cancel the GOP group’s registration – or else.
‘You have seen how much power we have downtown and that the police cannot stop us from shutting down roads so please consider your decision wisely,’ the anonymous email said, referring to the violent riots that hit Portland after the 2016 presidential election, reported the Oregonian. ‘This is nonnegotiable.’

The Real Barack Obama is Finally Exposed to Everyone

There is no reason for the Democratic Party to exist.
– Jimmy Dore
I’ve been surprised by the number of people who lived in total denial about who Barack Obama actually was throughout his entire administration, suddenly pointing out the ethical and demoralizing implications of his recent decision to accept $400,000 for a speech to Wall Street firm Cantor Fitzgerald.
For myself and countless others, the writing was on the wall from virtually day one when he appointed Wall Street sycophants Timothy Geithner and Larry Summers to senior positions within his administration. Then came the policies, which were even more generous to Wall Street than any cynic could imagine. I posted countless pieces on Obama’s cronyism throughout his Presidency, constantly referring to him as an oligarch-coddling fraud, which his record unquestionably confirms.

US Deploys Troops Along Syria-Turkey Border

Just three days after Turkish warplanes killed at least 20 US-backed Kurdish fighters along the Turkey-Syria border as well as several Kurdish peshmerga troops on Mount Sinjar in northwestern Iraq, footage posted by Syrian activists showed the US has deployed troops and APCs in the contested region, in a move that could potentially drag the US in a conflict where it already finds itself mediating between two so-called US ally forces in the proxy war against Syria.
The Turkish airstrikes also wounded 18 members of the U. S.-backed People’s Protection Units, or Y. P. G., were criticized by both the U. S. and Russia. The YPG is a close U. S. ally in the theatrical fight against the Islamic State (whose real purpose is destabilizing the Assad regime); it is seen by Ankara as a terrorist group because of its ties to Turkey’s Kurdish rebels. The problem is that Turkey is also an ally of the US, although over the past two years relations between Turkey and all western NATO allies have deteriorated substantially for numerous familiar, and extensively discussed in the past, reasons.
On one hand, further clashes between Turkish and Kurdish forces in Syria could potentially undermine the U. S.-led war on the Islamic State group. On the other, it risks taking an already unstable situation in Syria and escalating it substantially, should Turkey again find itself invading Turkey and/or Iraq.

UK: Westminster Dj Vu – Hyper-Realistic Stress Test Or Verifiable Tip Off

21st Century Wire says…
Patrick Henningsen of 21st Century Wire spoke about the public ‘following the narrative’ on the recent edition of Boiler Room at Alternate Current Radio.
By continually following mainstream narrative we often miss the subtleties and nuances in language that can be questioned more alongside trusting and employing our own common sense. When we dig deeper, collate similar patterns of information from events and then stand back, the picture changes further and becomes even more interesting than before.
Looking at the recent apprehension of a now named ‘lone wolf’ suspect at Westminster yesterday…
Daesh (ISIS) have not yet reportedly claimed any responsibility regarding this event. Because it wasn’t a ‘hit’?

There are conflated reports of the suspects ‘family’ tipping off police and security services to monitor him for weeks, whilst one report said it was the suspects local mosque that alerted authorities beforehand. No basis for the ‘tip off’ has been reported yet.
What motivated the police and security services to apprehend the suspect at Westminster instead of at an earlier stage of ‘covert’ monitoring, taking into account the tightness of security around Whitehall/Westminster (which are areas extremely close to Scotland Yard, including MI5 and MI6).

North Korea Ballistic Missile Test-Fire Fails; US Pacific Command Aware

Just when you thought it was safe to sink into a tall glass of beer as US government shutdown was avoided, South Korea’s Yonhap News reports that the South Korean military has confirmed that North Korea has test-fired another ballistic missile.
(URGENT) N. Korea test-fires a ballistic missile: S. Korean military. — Yonhap News Agency (@YonhapNews) April 28, 2017

The missile was reportedly fired from an area just north of Pyongyang. South Korean military is currently analyzing the missile type and flight distance. Yonhap aditionally reports that the launch of one ballistic missile appears to have failed.
U. S. Pacific Command on reported North Korean missile test: “We’re aware of the event.” This comes just hours after U. S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson warned on Friday that failure to curb North Korea’s nuclear and missile development could lead to ‘catastrophic consequences,’ while China and Russia cautioned Washington against threatening military force.

Colorado House Votes to Bar State Agents from Assisting Federal Police

The Colorado House of Representatives voted 56-7 on Wednesday to pass legislation mandating that “the state, a state agency, or an agency of a political subdivision of the state shall not knowingly assist or aid a federal agency or agency of another state in arresting a Colorado citizen for committing an act that is a Colorado constitutional right.”
It is believed that the bill was introduced as a repudiation of the Trump administration’s repeated hints that it plans to crack down on states that have legalized recreational marijuana. In February, White House Spokesman Sean Spicer announced “I do believe that you’ll see greater enforcement of [federal law against marijuana].”
Unfortunately, the Colorado legislation does contain phrases that soften the power of state law, which defines a “right” as “a right enumerated in the Colorado constitution that has not been declared unconstitutional by a federal or Colorado appellate court.”
This leaves an opening for opponents of the state’s marijuana laws who could still gain state-level assistance if they can get a federal court to strike down the state’s marijuana provisions. Nevertheless, in the absence of such action, this legislation does appear to tie the hands of state and local police.

Ludwig von Mises’ Century of Validation

Seeing the Light
It has been said that ‘the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.’ No one quite knows who first uttered this remark; it has been attributed to Albert Einstein, Mark Twain, Benjamin Franklin, and has even been said to be an Ancient Chinese Proverb. What is known is that this clich has been repeated over and over again so often that its mere mention substantiates its own definition.
Nonetheless, we repeat it again because it’s particularly fitting to today’s deliberations. Here we begin with a look back to the past in search of edification. For the miscalculations of the past continue to dictate the insanity of the present.
Many years ago, a bright minded and well intentioned Italian pursued a devious undertaking. His efforts aimed to conceive a pure theory of a socialist economy. His objective was to take the sordid teachings of Marx and pencil out the mechanics of how a centrally planned economy could bring a life of security and abundance for all. What follows is an approximation of how the dirty deed went down.

Two Army Rangers Killed During Raid On ISIS Compound In Afghanistan

US military casualties abroad are starting to pile up again. Two weeks after the US dropped the MOAB over a cave complex in the Nangarhar region in Afghanistan, reportedly in an attempt to flush out ISIS operatives, on Friday the Defense Department reported that on Thursday two Army Rangers died during a raid on the same compound in Afghanistan.
Sgt. Joshua P. Rodgers, 22, and Sgt. Cameron H. Thomas, 23, were killed by small arms fire during an operation targeting the emir of the Afghan branch of the ISIS in Nangarhar province, the Pentagon said. Rodgers was from Bloomington, Illinois, and Thomas was from Kettering, Ohio. Both were on their third deployments to Afghanistan and assigned to a Ranger regiment based out of Fort Benning, Georgia, according to the Pentagon. They were the second and third American servicemen to die in service this year.
It was not clear if they were killed by ISIS soldiers, or worse, as a result of friendly fire. The Pentagon said it was investigating the latter possibility.
“That may have been what happened here,” Pentagon spokesman Capt. Jeff Davis said during a briefing Friday.
