The Political Year In Charts

It was one of the worst – if not the worst – years for hurricanes and wildfires in modern US history. The first year in office for perhaps the least traditional president the US has ever elected. The year Congressional Republicans surmounted their ideological differences and banded together to deliver the largest corporate-tax cut in US history. The year the Patriots staged the greatest comeback in Superbowl History….
…In its annual Year in Charts, the New York Times reviews the year in data, beginning with a topic that in many ways defined the year that was: US politics.
The worsening partisanship in the US has been a prominent theme, as Democratic lawmakers united in their opposition to President Donald Trump’s legislative agenda.

YEAR IN REVIEW: 2017 Top Ten Conspiracies

Patrick Henningsen and Shawn Helton
21st Century Wire
Once again, we’ve arrived at our New Years Eve wrap-up of some of the most compelling and conspiratorial stories of the year. Like in years past, 2017 presented a polarizing political landscape, further exposing the current establishment paradigm. Unlike the establishment gatekeepers, when we use the word ‘conspiracy’ here, we are talking about a real crime scene. Whether it was the ousting of thousands of western-backed terrorists in Iraq and Syria or a string of ‘known wolf’ attacks amplified by made-to-order media agitprop, or the heavily manufactured Russia-gate narrative relentlessly pushed by mainstream outlets and Deep State actors – it seemed there was no shortage of topsy-turvy stagecraft designed to mislead and confuse the masses at a time when the real world is undergoing some significant geopolitical realignments.
As was the case in 2016, there were many high-profile incidents and individual stories which didn’t make our annual compendium (but they are worth mentioning) – like the ‘red herring’ laced New Year’s Eve mass shooting at Turkey’s Reina nightclub that kicked off 2017 in classic Daily Shooterfashion, along with other dubious events like Fort Lauderdale’s FBI-known shooter and subsequent CNN media circus. On the political front, it was a banner year for astroturfing starting with ‘The Resistance’ which spent most of the first 3 months of the year demanding Trump’s impeachment before he had served 100 days in office. As part of these efforts, we saw Hollywood and the Democratic Party’s choreographed women’s march backed by political agitator and perennial globalist George Soros, as well as MoveOn.org and Soros-backed protests which followed Trump’s highly controversial immigration ban, and contentious resignations by key members of the Trump White House, followed by Antifa’s US ‘riot tour’ which culminated the Charlottesville riots in Virginia followed by a series of ‘social justice’ protests over Confederate statues, followed by more extremist left-wing ‘antifascists’ foot-soldiers like ‘black bloc’ throwing molotov cocktails for kicks. And that only scratches the surface of what transpired in 2017.

Military & Political Trends Of 2017 That Will Shape 2018

Via Southfront.org,
2017 presented the world with a number of crises, among which were the continued wars in the Middle Ease and the spread of terrorism, the humanitarian crises in Africa and Asia, the rising military tensions over North Korea’s missile and nuclear programs, and the militarization of both the South China Sea and eastern Europe. Throughout the past year regional and global powers have repeatedly been on the verge of open military conflict, any of which may yet still lead to large regional wars.
***
In the Middle East the war on ISIS, the Iran nuclear deal, the crisis in Lebanon, and Israeli-Arab tensions took center stage.
By the end of the year, the self-proclaimed caliphate of ISIS had fully collapsed in both Syria and Iraq. Thanks to the efforts of the alliance between Syria, Iran, Russia, and Hezbollah, along with the Iraqi forces and the US-led coalition, this group was driven out from almost all of the areas it had held in the two countries. ISIS has lost control of such strategic locations as Mosul, al-Qaim, Raqqah, al-Tabqah, Deir Ezzor, al-Mayadin, al-Bukamal, as-Sukhna, Deir Hafer, Maskanah, and al-Resafa.

Weiner Laptop Doc: Assange Warrant Issued 2 Weeks After Swedish Election Leaks Warning

A confidential document found on Anthony Weiner’s laptop reveals that the United States Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden expressed concerns in 2010 that WikiLeaks would release classified US documents related to Sweden ahead of the September 19 Swedish election, tipping the vote towards the Pirate Party. The subject of the cable reads “Wikileaks: The Pirate Party’s White Horse Into Sweden’s Parliament?”
On June 29, 2010 a US diplomat met with three members of the Pirate Party – which is described in the cable as a “mixture between communism and libertarianism,” yet whose members are “well-salaried professionals, independent from the party for income.” Two of the “pirates,” according to the report, were active in the “youth branch of the conservative party currently leading government.”
The Embassy cable notes the “grim electoral outlook for Pirates” – as confirmed by a Pirate party member interviewed by the US diplomat, “Unless WikiLeaks Saves the Day.”
Two weeks after the cable was sent, an arrest warrant was issued for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange on sexual assault allegations – which was dropped, then re-issued, then revoked again by Swedish authorities in August 2015 when they dropped their case against him.

Despite Bluster Of The Left, Mexican Deportations Have Actually Plunged Under Trump

Despite the non-stop bluster from the Left, including fairly regular on-air meltdowns by CNN’s Ana Navarro which began with her now infamous prediction on election night of 2016 that the “Latino vote would defeat Donald Trump”…a prediction which she shared just hours before his election mind you…the latest data from the Interior Ministry of Mexico would suggest that Mexicans living in the U. S. have less to fear from a Trump administration than they did under Obama.
In fact, per the chart below, average monthly repatriations of Mexican citizens from the United States are down roughly 28% from February – November 2017 compared the same period the previous year under Obama. In aggregate, Obama deported 190,588 Mexican citizens during that time period compared to 137,994 under Trump.

Swedish Church Declares Both God and Jesus Christ are Now ‘Gender Neutral’

It was only a matter of time before cultural marxists would eventually target Christianity, as part of their long march through each and every western institution.
Back in November, the radical progressive activists finally managed to change clergy instructions for a Swedish Church, which will now advise officials to avoid terms like ‘Lord’ and ‘He’ when mentioning God or Jesus during church services.
Since then, a new politically correct religious guide has been issued on ‘how to conduct church services.’
Church official and feminist Susann Senter claims that making Jesus gender neutral is OK because some historical art depictions of ‘Jesus are quite feminine.’
Not surprisingly, the church’s political dictates have triggered a backlash in the country, as parishioners claim that the politicized change actually undermines the core Christian concept of the Holy Trinity – the basis of the religion.

Pot Industry Revitalizes Entire Canadian Town’s Economy

The marijuana industry is coming to the rescue of Smith Falls, Ontario, an old factory town that is experiencing an unlikely renaissance now that Canopy Growth Corp., Canada’s largest publicly-traded cannabis producer, has become the town’s largest private-sector employer.
This summer, Canada will become the second country after Uruguay to legalize marijuana at the federal level, which has driven a boom in the local cannabis industry, according to Bloomberg.
Smiths Falls, Ontario – population 8,885 – is seeing a revival of fortunes since medical marijuana producer Tweed Inc. set up shop four years ago in an abandoned Hershey Co. chocolate factory. The company, since renamed Canopy Growth Corp., has become the world’s largest publicly traded cannabis producer and is the town’s largest private-sector employer.
For Smith Falls, Canopy’s arrival heralded a boom in younger people moving to the town, located about 75 kilometers (47 miles) southwest of Ottawa. There are sometimes bidding wars on homes. New businesses are arriving. And commercial property is seeing renewed interest. Canopy, formerly known as Tweed Inc., took over an old Hershey factory to build a giant growing operation for medical marijuana. How’s that for symbolism?
We’re recognized as the pot capital of Canada – and we’re proud of that, Mayor Shawn Pankow said in an interview from the town hall, a two-story brick building erected in 1859 on the main street. The local economy is certainly far better today than it was before Tweed came to town.

‘Classified’ Emails from Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin found on Anthony Weiner’s Laptop

Looking back on the 2016 Presidential election, there was a non-stop chorus on denials by Hillary Clinton, her campaign surrogates, and the mainstream media – that had not allowed any classified emails to float around her home-brew server, or onto the family of her close aids.
As it turns out, Hillary Clinton was lying. A new batch of emails released by the US State Department clearly show that Anthony Weiner, convicted sex criminal and husband of Clinton’s chief aid Huma Abedin, had kept classified emails pertaining to official US State Department business during Hillary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State – kept on the same laptop which Weiner used to target an underage girl and where he also kept child pornography.
Among the released emails were exchanges which clearly show Hillary Clinton conspiracy with authoritarian Saudi Arabia to ‘stop Wikileaks.’The reopening of this old Clinton gaping wound is another devastating blow for the mainstream media and the Democratic Party’s ‘resistance’ movement, whose mission is to remove Donald Trump for office.
RT International reports…
At least five of the 2,800 emails stored on a laptop belonging to former Democratic congressman Anthony Weiner were marked ‘confidential’ and involved delicate talks with Middle Eastern leaders and Hillary Clinton’s top aide.

China Resists US Push To Blacklist Ships Caught Trading With North Korea

After the US Treasury Department released satellite images purporting to show Chinese ships transferring oil to a North Korea-flagged vessel in blatant violation of UN Security Council sanctions, the US is pressing for 10 ships, several of them Chinese, to be added to the list of entities banned by the UN.
But there’s one problem: China, which like the US holds a permanent veto over UN Security Council decisions, is pushing back. It says it will only accept sanctions on four ships, according to the Wall Street Journal.
While there’s some skepticism about how well these rules are enforced, UN sanctions would require members to bar blacklisted ships from their ports.
A Security Council resolution passed last week gives member states more authority to seize the ships that have breached international sanctions and ban them from their ports. And the satellite images mentioned above have shown just how easily North Korea has managed to circumvent sanctions managed to restrict energy flowing into the country while also choking off its exports of North Korean coal.

US State Department Hints At Iran Overthrow: Are We Witnessing The Early Stages Of Regime Change?

The US State Department has issued a formal condemnation of the Iranian government following two days of economic protests centering in a handful of cities, calling the regime “a rogue state whose chief exports are violence, bloodshed, and chaos” while announcing support for protesters. It fits a familiar script which seems to roll out when anyone protests for any reason in a country considered an enemy of the United States (whether over economic grievances or full on calling for government overthrow).

Will War Cancel Trump’s Triumphs?

Asked what he did during the French Revolution, Abbe Sieyes replied, ‘I survived.’
Donald Trump can make the same boast.
No other political figure has so dominated our discourse. And none, not Joe McCarthy in his heyday in the early ’50s, nor Richard Nixon in Watergate, received such intensive and intemperate coverage and commentary as has our 45th president.
Whatever one may think of Trump, he is a leader and a fighter, not a quitter. How many politicians could have sustained the beatings Trump has taken, and remained as cocky and confident?
And looking back on what may fairly be called The Year of Trump, his achievements have surprised even some of his enemies.
With the U. S. military given a freer hand by Trump, a U. S.-led coalition helped expel ISIS from its twin capitals of Raqqa in Syria and Mosul in Iraq, driving it back into a desert enclave on the Iraq-Syria border. The caliphate is dead, and the caliph nowhere to be found.
The economy, with the boot of Barack Obama off its neck, has been growing at 3 percent. The stock market has soared to record highs. Unemployment is down to 4 percent. And Trump and Congress just passed the largest tax cut since Ronald Reagan.
With deregulation, which conservative Republicans preached to deaf ears in the Bush I and Bush II eras, Trump and those he has put into positions of power have exceeded expectations.
Pipelines Obama blocked have been approved. Alaska’s National Wildlife Refuge has been opened to exploratory drilling. We have exited a Paris climate accord that favored China over the U. S.

UAE: Arabs ‘Won’t be Led by Ankara’ – As Retweet Further Divides Regional Relations

Turkey’s Tayyip Erdogan faces off against UAE minster Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahayan in latest Twitter war.
This latest diplomatic spat between newly formed Turkey-Qatar-Iran alliance and the US-backed Saudi-UAE-Israel (tentatively with Egypt on board) axis power bloc – is indicative of where some of the regional fault lines are at present.
You can be sure that the US, Israel and Britain will work to exploit these differences in order to gain whatever economic and geopolitical advantage they can from the discord.
Reuters reports…
A senior UAE diplomat said Wednesday the Arab world would not be led by Turkey.

CITIZEN PEDOPHILE HUNTER ARRESTED FOR CATCHING CHILD PREDATORS BETTER THAN POLICE

A self-proclaimed pedophile hunter, who lures would-be child molesters into public spaces where they can be arrested, has been arrested for this practice.
After he became fed up with police officers doing a terrible job at catching child predators, Rich Warner took matters into his own hands. He launched a sting operation of his own and was successful at catching pedophiles. However, he apparently became so good at his job that police have moved in to take him out.
Using fake profiles, Warner would lure in these predators. He would set up meetings and then confront the sickos who would show up. Many of Warner’s stings have been the subject of high-profile news segments in which he’s nabbed child predators who thought they were going to meet children for sex.
As Yahoo reported in August, in one of Warner’s stings, Mark Lee Smith arranged to meet the 14-year-old, known as Lou, after grooming her on an online dating site, but instead he found himself face-to-face with an undercover journalist using the alias ‘Danny Catcher’ (Warner) who detained the 28-year-old father of one and called the police.

2018 – War, Or No War?

If the first months of 2017 were a time of great hopes following the historical defeat of Hillary Clinton, the year is ending in a sombre, almost menacing manner. Not only has the swamp easily, quickly and totally drowned Trump, but the AngloZionist Empire is reeling from its humiliating defeat in Syria and the Neocons are now treating our entire planet to a never ending barrage of threats. Furthermore, the Trump Administration now has released a National Security Strategywhich clearly show that the Empire is in ‘full paranoid’ mode. It is plainly obvious that the Neocons are now back in total control of the White House, Congress and the US corporate media. Okay, maybe things are still not quite as bad as if Hillary had been elected, but they are bad enough to ask whether a major war is now inevitable next year.
If we go by their rhetoric, the Neocons have all the following countries in their sights:

FIRED FOR EXPOSING SANDY HOOK ‘MASSACRE’: PROFESSOR JAMES TRACY DENIED FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS BY FEDERAL COURT

The Death of Academic Freedom
On December 11, 2017, in a serious miscarriage of justice, a jury in West Palm Beach, Florida, ruled unanimously in favor of Florida Atlantic University and against former Media Studies Professor James Tracy, who was suing for reinstatement after his firing in 2016.
The jury found that Tracy’s ‘controversial’ articles on Memory Hole Blog were not a ‘motivating factor’ in his firing, the only question they were required to consider. Of course, Tracy’s posts at ‘his conspiracy theory blog’ were indeed the reason he was fired, but the jury was convinced otherwise by FAU’s legal team with assistance from the judge.
The case centered around Tracy’s writings on the anomalies found in the reporting on the Sandy Hook ‘massacre’ of December 14, 2012. His skepticism about the event was not to the liking of the university.
FAU maintained that Tracy was not fired from his tenured position because of his blog posts, but because he did not follow the ‘rules’ set out by ‘his bosses’ at the government-run institution. FAU attorney G. Joseph Curley insisted that Tracy was not denied his First Amendment rights, but that he simply did not follow university procedure.
‘Professor Tracy doesn’t follow the rules,’ Curley told the jury. ‘They’re rules that everyone else follows. He doesn’t play by the rules.’ FAU cast the case as one of a ‘belligerent,’ rebellious,’ and ‘nonconformist’ employee being let go for ‘insubordination,’ instead of that of a tenured professor exercising his right to free speech.[1]
FAU’s current ‘rules’ require that faculty submit forms listing ‘outside activities’ to be vetted for administrative approval, whether the activities are compensated or not. Tracy and other professors at FAU had argued that the policy is vague and confusing, constituting a form of prior restraint forbidden by the First Amendment, and leading to a climate of ‘fear and uncertainty’ among the faculty.
Aside from the fact that ‘outside activities’ can reach into all aspects of a professor’s life and therefore be difficult if not impossible to list, such activities must not be subject to bureaucratic approval. And certainly, no tenured professor can be fired for not filling out a form, even at Florida Atlantic University.[2]

Russiagate Is Devolving Into An Effort To Stigmatize Dissent

An amicus brief to a lawsuit filed against Roger Stone and the Trump campaign raises troubling questions over the right to political speech.
Of all the various twists and turns of the year-and-a-half-long national drama known as #Russiagate, the effort to marginalize and stigmatize dissent from the consensus Russia-Trump narrative, particularly by former intelligence and national-security officials and operatives, is among the more alarming.
An invasion-of-privacy lawsuit, filed in July 2017 by a former DNC official and two Democratic donors, alleges that they suffered ‘significant distress and anxiety and will require lifelong vigilance and expense’ because their personal information was exposed as a result of the e-mail hack of the DNC, which, the suit claims, was part of a conspiracy between Roger Stone and the Trump campaign.

‘The Most Polite Obliteration Of A Man That I Have Ever Witnessed’ – Watch As Russian Collusion Narrative Is Absolutely Pummeled

If you’ve attempted to have any meaningful conversation with a liberal Hillary Clinton supporter in recent months, there’s a near 100% chance that they’ve channeled the Trump-Russia-Collusion narrative as the reason behind the President’s 2016 sweeping victory. That and accusations of racism have been the only argument that they really have against the President.
Most have already dismissed the accusations of racism – arguments like only white racists go to farmer’s markets – as nothing more than ad hominem attacks in lieu of any fact-based evidence to support their arguments.
The Russian narrative, is therefore, the real fallback.
But as we and others have repeatedly noted over the last eighteen months, there is absolutely no factual evidence to support any of the thousands of reports out there, most of which are based on a single original factually-challenged news story often shilled in establishment mouthpieces like Beelzebezos’ Washington Post.
As you’ll see in the Real News interview below, the world’s foremost Russian Collusionist and author of the aptly, even if inaccurately, titled book Collusion: Secret Meetings, Dirty Money, and How Russia Helped Donald Trump Win, author Luke Harding gets absolutely pummeled when faced with real facts and analysis.

TENSIONS FLARE AS US RECON SATELLITES EXPOSE CHINESE SHIPS ILLEGALLY SELLING OIL TO NORTH KOREA

According to South Korea’s Chosun Ilbo, U. S. recon satellites have photographed around 30 illegal transactions involving Chinese vessels selling oil to North Korea.
Washington, D. C. – United States reconnaissance satellites have allegedly caught Chinese ships violating UN sanctions by engaging in illegal oil trades with North Korean vessels nearly 30 times in October.
The images were captured in the West Sea on October 19, prior to the most recent round of sanctions on the DPRK, which caps oil product shipments at 500K barrels per year, going into effect.
The satellite footage reveals a North Korean ship, named Ryesonggang 1, connected with a Chinese ship in what was deemed a ship-to-ship oil transfer, which is prohibited and deemed illegal by U. S. authorities.
According to the U. S. Department of the Treasury’s official report on the incident:

Bernie Sanders Is Most Likely Candidate To Take On Trump In 2020

Not only is Bernie Sanders, Vermont Senator and former contender for the Democratic nomination, the most popular politician in America, but according to one recent poll, he’s seen as the most likely candidate to win the Democratic nomination to take on Trump in 2020.
Since Hillary Clinton’s defeat, no clear leader has emerged to guide the Democratic party, which means the primary for the 2020 race will probably be hotly contested.

‘Classified, Confidential, And Heavily Redacted’: 2,800 Huma Abedin Emails Found On Anthony Weiner’s Laptop Have Been Released

The State Department has released over 2,000 emails belonging to top Hillary Clinton operative Huma Abedin that were found on her disgraced former husband Anthony Weiner’s laptop and a number of the documents contained classified, confidential, and heavily redacted information.
Although media reports on the emails have so far varied, it has been confirmed that there were indeed classified documents on the laptop in question and that the FBI KNEW this fact but refused to charge Abedin or Clinton with any crime.
A CNN report on the emails attempted to downplay Abedin’s knowledge of the classified material but nonetheless confirmed that certain emails should not have been on the laptop in the first place.
The emails weren’t marked as classified, though the FBI later found classified information contained in some emails recovered from Weiner’s laptop.
CNN has previously reported it was likely that some of the emails stored on Weiner’s laptop contained classified information, and fired FBI Director Comey testified that there is no indication Abedin ‘had a sense that what she was doing was in violation of the law.’
The fact that Clinton and Abedin previously exchanged classified emails gave federal prosecutors probable cause to justify their review of Weiner’s laptop in fall 2015, according to a search warrant application released in December 2016.
