Trust In US Government On Domestic, International Issues At Record Lows

Just a few hours ahead of President Obama’s strategy oration, we thought worth noting that Americans’ trust in the federal government to handle international problems has fallen to a record-low 43%. According to Gallup, confidence in the government to handle international problems slid 17 percentage points last year, when the Obama administration was planning military action against Syria. Unsurprisingly, Democrats remain the most confident in the government as Republicans’ faith has collapsed. But it’s not just international, only 40% of Americans have any confidence that government can handle domestic problems…

Obama’s False Flag Speech Tonight

Tonight, on the eve of another anniversary for 9-11, the current President of the United States will be giving a speech about the threat of ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria or IS for short) where a new American strategy for dealing with this terrorist army will be outlined after he stated several days ago that he didn’t have one. Several months ago in fact, the President called ISIS the ‘JV team’ in one of his numerous infamous quotes and since that time they have carved out what amounts to a small nation in Eastern Syria and Western Iraq.
The issue of ISIS however, is not the key point to the speech tonight. If ISIS were truly a serious threat to US interests, aka, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, then our ‘allies’ in the region would request that the United States position more troops into Kuwait and Jordan to protect those kingdoms and to cut off any advance towards the House of Saud. Meanwhile, many questions about this speech and American policy towards ISIS will not be answered by this administration nor our ‘allies’ in the region:
1. If the United States is aware that ISIS is now in possession of approximately 30 M1 Abrams tanks, why have we not destroyed them with an air strike by now? Theoretically one would hope that the U. S. would install a ‘kill switch’ such as those used by American rental car companies just in case a vehicle is stolen, or at least some type of GPS tracking at a minimum once the weapons were left for the Iraqi military.
2. Why are Western governments in Europe and including the United States announcing any types of sanctions for those countries aiding and abetting the ISIS cause? There is ample evidence within the mainstream media that Qatar is acting as the finance and banking arm for the Islamic State yet not one word has been uttered about cutting off trade or even a small threat of sanctions from any nation except for Saudi Arabia (see: Saudi threatens to block Qatar’s land, sea borders from this posting about Saudi-Qatari relations: Is Saudi Arabia Preparing to Invade Qatar?).
3. There is demonstrable evidence that Turkey, a NATO member nation, has also been arming and training ISIS forces yet the silence from Brussels, London, and Washington has been deafening. Will President Obama announce an initiative to cut off the supply of arms and soldiers migrating from Turkish territory into Iraq and Syria tonight? I seriously doubt it.

While Obama Snoozes, Russia Is Preparing For Nuclear War With The United States

Did you know that two Russian bombers practiced launching cruise missiles at the United States from a spot in the North Atlantic just the other day? And did you know that Russia is spending massive amounts of money to build and test new nuclear weapons systems? Meanwhile, the Obama administration is doing absolutely nothing to upgrade the U. S. nuclear arsenal. Our nuclear officers are actually still using floppy disks and other computer technologyfrom the 1960s. The size of the U. S. nuclear arsenal has been reduced by about 95 percent from the peak of the Cold War, and Barack Obama has spoken of even more dramatic reductions. Obama is snoozing even as a Russian general speaks of the need to ‘spell out the conditions under which Russia would launch a preemptive nuclear strike’ against the United States. Obama appears to be entirely convinced that a nuclear war between the U. S. and Russia is not even a remote possibility. He better be right, because we are definitely not prepared for one.
Even with everything that has happened between the United States and Russia lately, most Americans still believe that ‘the Cold War is over’ and that Russia presents absolutely no threat to us.
But Russia is behaving as if the Cold War is still very much on. You probably didn’t hear a peep about it from the mainstream media, but just the other day a couple of Russian bombers simulated launching cruise missiles at us from the North Atlantic. The following is an excerpt from an excellent article by Bill Gertz…

President Obama Unveils The “It’s Different This Time” ISIS Strategy – Live Feed

It’s been a week and Nobel Peace Prize-winning President Obama is ready to unveil the ISIS strategy. It appears the plan is to provide arms and training to ‘moderate’ Syrian rebels (remember the same ones that ‘were’ moderate and became extreme thanks to being well-armed) at a cost of at least $5bn, save hearts and minds in Iraq (with some more humanitarian shipments), andimpose sanctions (yes, Treasury said efforts against ISIS will include finances). No boots-on-the-ground (just advisors) and we are sure some Syrian bombing (whether or not they agree) and do not forget – this is a long-standing commitment…

Recognizing 9/11 as an evil US CRIME: an analogy

9/11 began a fraud by the US upon the world through unlawful Wars of Aggression. The crime of 9/11 as to who did what, when, where, and related facts for analysis of why is a separate, challenging, and revealing topic I defer to others (such as here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, for your consideration).
I’ll stick to the easy explanation and documentation to prove US/UK/UN unlawful Wars of Aggressionafter 9/11.
In this effort, analogies can help put facts into perspective; the following population analogies are mathematically accurate representing the US (United City), Afghanistan (Afghan City), Iraq (Tigris City), and Iran (Tehrangeles) as having a population of 100,000. Documentation of the facts are after the analogy.
Once upon a time… you live in United City with a population of 100,000. On September 11, 2001, a reported ‘suicide’ car driver downtown kills one person and injures two. Media and your mayor, Dick Tator, blame a ‘terrorist’ who resides in Afghan City, and demand extradition. The mayor of Afghan City expresses condolences, and agrees to arrest anyone of the crime of 9/11, or any other crime, upon presentment of evidence. The FBI claim jurisdiction, and order cooperation for factual discovery of all involved to have lawful arrests and prosecutions for this crime. Dick Tator refuses to provide any evidence, then violates the FBI order with the following actions against Afghan City, nearby Tigris City, and Tehrangeles:

More Lies: NFL Had Rice Tape In April

In a world of no consequences and where lying is justified “when it’s serious enough,” it is hardly surprising that mere hours after stating unequivocally that none of the law enforcement entities the league approached “was permitted to provide any video or other investigatory material to us,” AP reports that, in fact, a law enforcement official says he sent a video of Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee to an NFL executive five months ago. More lies – but then we are sure, just as we have heard many times before, Roger Goodell was ‘unaware’ of the situation…

Does Obama Plan To Announce Bombing Of Syria On Eve Of 9/11 Anniversary?

As the thirteenth anniversary of 9/11 draws closer so does the possibility that the United States and NATO will finally be able to realize their dream of direct airstrikes against the secular government of Bashar Al-Assad’s Syria.
After years of propaganda alleging Assad’s ‘brutality against his own people’ and a recent volley of ‘ISIS is under the bed’-style hype, complete with beheadings, forced starvations, and other savagery, the American people remain utterly befuddled regarding the true nature of events taking place inside Syria, Iraq, and virtually every other country in the world, including their own. As a result, the buildup to a Western bombing campaign against Syria, while rejected by the general public only a year ago, will now likely move full steam ahead with the tacit support of the population.
Thus, as the thirteenth anniversary of 9/11 approaches, U. S. President Barack Obama is planning to make a dramatic statement regarding his strategy to combat ISIS in both Iraq and Syria.
Although Obama has repeatedly stated that he will not commit U. S. troops to either Iraq or Syria, the possibility of ‘targeted airstrikes’ or aerial bombardment is by no means off the table. Of course, it is also important to point out that Obama has already broken his promise regarding boots on the ground in Iraq with the deployment of at least 1,100 American personnel in the Middle Eastern nation.
Still, as the Detroit Free Press reports, ‘The plan is expected to involve an expansion of air strikes in Iraq that began in August. Obama is also likely to discuss a coalition of allies that has been assembled in opposition to the Islamic State, and to brace Americans for the possibility that the battle could take years.’ In other words, Obama is once again channeling his inner George W. Bush in promoting war with no end against a sovereign state who is the victim of Anglo-American meddling and Western-backed terrorism.
The DFP also states that ‘In his speech, the president may also discuss the long-term potential for air strikes in Syria, though military action in that country is not considered imminent.’

Will Tears and Promises Save the Day for the “No” Vote for Scotland? Lesson for Ukraine: Voting is Better than Civil War

A recent poll showed support for a “Yes” vote for Scotland independence went into the lead for the first time, overcoming a 20 percentage-point deficit.
This set off a flurry of activity including …
An emotional “I would be heartbroken” plea by UK prime minister David Cameron A tearful speech by former prime minister Gordon Brown Fearmongering tactics by both sides Promises of more political independence for Scotland Did it work?“No” Vote Leads 53-47 Excluding 10 Percent Undecided In the wake of the above tactics Scottish Independence Support Fades. When taking into account all respondents, 42 percent said they would vote Yes, up 1 point, and 48 percent said they would vote No, unchanged. Ten percent said they were undecided how they would vote in the Sept. 18 referendum. With 10 percent undecided this vote can still go either way.

What Petrodollar: Russia, China To Create SWIFT Alternative

If, when in February Victoria Nuland infamously launched a (not so) covert campaign to replace the ruling Ukraine president oblivious to the human casualties, resulting in a civil war in east Ukraine, NATO encroachment along the borders of Russia, and a near-terminal escalation in hostilities between Ukraine, Russian, and various regional NATO members, the US intention was to provoke the Kremlin so hard that the nation with the world’s largest reserves of mineral and energy resources would jettison the US Dollar and in the process begin the unraveling of the USD reserve currency status (as much as Jared Bernstein desires just such an outcome) it succeeded and then some. Because in the end it may have pushed not just Russia into the anti-petrodollar camp… it appears to have forced China in it as well.
According to Itar-Tass, Russia and China are discussing setting up a system of interbank transactions which will become an analogue to International banking transaction system SWIFT, First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov told PRIME on Wednesday after negotiations in Beijing.
“Yes, we have discussed and we have approved this idea,” he said.
But wait: wasn’t it the UK’s desire to force Russia out of SWIFT just two weeks ago? Why yes, and the fact that Russia is happy to do so, and on its own terms, once again shows just who has all the leverage, and who really needs, or rather doesn’t, the US Dollar.

Fear Of Terror Attack Soars to 9/11 High

The recent scaremongery of the plebeians is complete (most recently by NY Rep. King’s CNBC appearance proclaiming “I’m not trying to scare people, but…”). In an apparent Bush deja-vu-ism, as Obama prepares the nation to accept the need for another war this evening, an NBC News/WSJ poll finds a stunning 47% of Americans believe the country is less safe now than before the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Obama Lies to Sotloff Family About Murdered Hostages Exposed

President Obama has been caught lying again. Yawn. Crickets. The family of murdered journalist Steven Sotloff, who was beheaded by ISIS about two weeks ago, is accusing the Obama administration of lying about the hostages. We’d note they can get in line with the families of the men murdered in Benghazi, and we’ll see if they can keep this newest set of lies alive for two years.
‘They’ve said that the families have been consistently and regularly informed. That is not true,’ [Sotloff family spokesman Barak Barfi] claimed. ‘I speak now only from the Sotloff family. I can’t speak for the other families. They said that these hostages were moved frequently. We know that for most of the beginning of part of this year they were stationary. We know that the intelligence community and the White House are enmeshed in a larger game of bureaucratic infighting and [murdered journalist] Jim [Foley] and Steve are pawns in that game and that’s not fair.’
It appears that the Sotloff family has boots on the ground in Syria and they may have a compelling story of the dithering incompetence of the Obama administration and the President himself. Assuming, of course, that the major media is willing to listen to them. That’s a big assumption based on their non-performance with respect to covering the President over the last six years.
You’ll remember the Obama administration releasing information about how the President had sent a US military special ops group called the Nightstalkers on a rescue mission just before James Foley was murdered and how the hostages had ‘been moved.’ Well, it turns out that maybe a couple of rounds of golf may have gotten in the way of sending in the team soon enough to rescue Foley and Sotloff.

Putin To Head Military-Industrial Commission, Sees Nuclear Deterrence As Top Task

When we exposed the shift in Russia’s military doctrine towards one of nuclear deterrence and pre-emptive strikes, many eschewed it as fantastical thinking of extremists. They were wrong. Speaking at a defense meeting this morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared he is taking charge of Russia’s military-industrial complex:
*PUTIN SAYS DRAFT NEW MILITARY DOCTRINE SHOULD BE READY BY DEC. *PUTIN CALLS ENSURING NUCLEAR DETERRENT TOP DEFENSE TASK TO 2030 This does not seem like de-escalatory conversation as NATO continues to push – to justify its existence – and Putin now prepares an increasingly Cold-War-esque response threat (following an overnight nuclear missile test).

Obama Plans To Fight ISIS By… Giving More Weapons To ISIS?

It appears that, in a rush to get his strategy out the door, President Obama overlooked his key “do nothing stupid” foreign policy plan.
OBAMA SAID TO SEEK CONGRESS AUTHORITY TO ARM SYRIAN REBELS So – to be clear – the strategy to defeat ISIS is to arm more of the same “rebels” that ultimately split off and became, well, ISIS?
Perhaps it’s better if Obama sticks to his original “no strategy” plan after all… if only for the people, not so much the military-industrial complex of course.

Remember Those ‘Moderate’ Syrian Rebels That The U. S. Armed? ISIS Got Some Of Those Weapons Too
As the Syrian Civil War has waged on over the past few years, the United States, along with Arab states such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar, decided to arm the Syrian rebels under the ‘Free Syrian Army’ umbrella.

The American Public: A Tough Soldier or a Chicken Hawk Cowering in a Cubicle? Some Thoughts on ISIS Intervention

You gotta love the American public sometimes. For a mass of people so easily terrified by guys in caves funded and armed by our intelligence services and ‘allies’ in the Persian Gulf, the same public talks with such armchair bravado when it comes to launching bombs from drones and sending other people’s children to die.
Makes you wonder though, which one is it? Is the American public actually the tough guy soldier it pretends to be when cheering overseas military interventions, or is it really a scared, propagandized, coward hiding in one of our nation’s endless cubicle rows? Unfortunately, based on recent opinion polls demonstrating approval for military action against ISIS, it appears to be the latter. The former is merely a front put on by that terrified, economically insecure, silently suffering automaton. I really wish this weren’t the case.
‘ISIS as the new enemy’ is a meme that has made me very uncomfortable from the start for several reasons, not the least being the fact that this group seemingly emerged out of nowhere just when it seemed corrupt politicians from both parties in Washington D. C. were becoming increasingly frustrated by their inability to launch missiles into Syria back in 2012, following well documented disastrous campaigns in Iraq and Libya. Not only that, it is quite clear that many of our so called ‘allies’ such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait have been the major funders behind ISIS. Moreover, for a public so squeamish and outraged by beheadings, we hear barely a peep about the fact that beheadings hit a record level in Saudi Arabiaduring August, with nearly one unfortunate soul decapitated per day during the month. Nope, haven’t heard much about that at all.

US Chopper Squadron Invades Poland, Accidentally

No, this is not from The Onion. Bloomberg reports that six U. S. army helicopters landed in a rapeseed field in northern Poland to ask for directions after veering off course on their way back from military exercises. Locals were alarmed and explained, “we know that security is the most important thing right now… But thank God it was the Americans.” We wonder how long before Sikorski proclaims this an invasion and demands NATO react…

Lavrov Hopes Ceasefire in Ukraine to Be Consolidated in Next Few Days

Moscow hopes that within the next few days the ceasefire in Ukraine will be consolidated, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday.
“In speaking of the assessments of how the ceasefire is being observed, we naturally rely on the opinions of the OSCE observers. They aren’t panicking. They do acknowledge that there are some isolated incidents from both sides. However, one senior observer said in an interview that unfortunately this is the usual case at the beginning period of a setting up a ceasefire and bringing the agreement of a ceasefire to life. So, we hope that in the next few days this regime will be consolidated,” Lavrov said during a joint press conference with Malian Foreign Minister Tieman Coulibaly.
Representatives from Ukraine, Russia and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) agreed to a ceasefire between Kiev and Ukrainian independence supporters during the September meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk.

Elizabeth Warren: Jamie Dimon Gets $8.5 Million Raise for Illegal Conduct at JPMorgan

Sparks were flying yesterday in what is typically a snooze-worthy Senate session. It felt like alien body snatchers had decided to remove the zombies and return the real U. S. Senators to their chairs on the Senate Banking Committee. Senators, right and left, asked tough, probing questions of the nation’s banking regulators, leaving many squirming in their chairs.
The session was so unusual that Senator Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat from Massachusetts, and Senator Richard Shelby, a Republican from Alabama, closed out the session in complete agreement that there is something seriously broken about the justice system in America.
Senator Warren told the hearing that in the past year, three of the nation’s largest banks – JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup and Bank of America – have admitted breaking the law and settled the claims for $35 billion. The Senator continued:
‘As Judge Rakoff of the Southern District of New York has noted, the law on this is clear. No corporation can break the law unless an individual within that corporation broke the law. Yet, despite the misconduct at these banks that generated tens of billions of dollars in settlement payments by the companies, not a single senior executive at these banks has been criminally prosecuted. Now, I know that your agencies can’t bring prosecutions directly, but you’re supposed to refer cases to the Justice Department when you think individuals should be prosecuted. So, can you tell me how many senior executives at these three banks you have referred to the Justice Department for prosecution?’

WHITE HOUSE DENIES MURDERED JOURNALIST WAS SOLD TO ISIS BY US SUPPORTED SYRIAN REBELS

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Following accusations by the spokesperson for Steven Sotloff, the US journalist murdered by Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the Obama administration has claimed that the American was not sold to the extremist group by moderate Syrian rebels currently being supported by the White House.
The administration says that its own initial intelligence surrounding the disappearance of Sotloff has not revealed any indications that the journalist was exchanged by Syrian rebels for cash.
‘Based on the information that has been provided to me, I don’t believe that is accurate,’ White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Tuesday. ‘But I do know, at the same time, that this is the subject of an ongoing FBI investigation. So this is something that they’re looking into all aspects of this, including how Mr. Sotloff may have come into the hands of [ISIS].’
Appearing on CNN Monday, Sotloff family spokesman Barak Barfi slammed Obama, saying that ‘The administration could have done more, they could have helped us, they could have seen them through.’

Warning to War Supporters

I know you mean well. I know you think you’ve found a bargain that nobody else noticed hidden in a back corner of the used car lot. Let me warn you: it’s a clunker. Here, I’ll list the defects. You can have your own mechanic check them out:
1. If you want to bomb a country every time an evil group murders people in a gruesome manner, you’ll have to bomb a lot of countries including our own. ISIS draws its strength in Iraq from resentment of the Iraqi government, which bombs its own cities using U. S. weapons, and whichbeheads people, albeit in grainier footage with lower production values. Allies in the region, including allies that support ISIS, including allies armed by the United States(some of which arms end up in the hands of ISIS), themselves behead people regularly. But is that worse than other types of killing? When President Barack Obama blew up a 16 year old American boy whom nobody had ever accused of so much as jaywalking, and blew up six other kids who were too close to him at the time, do you imagine his head remained on his body?
