North Korea Threatens China With “Grave Consequences” Over “Betrayal”

Earlier this morning we reported that according to Korea Times, China had allegedly sent North Korea what amount to a final warning over its military provocations. The rumor cited the May issue of Hong Kong monthly news outlet Dong Xiang. It said a Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs junior minister invited Park Myung-ho, an official of North Korea, for a meeting. China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended the meeting and asked his junior to read aloud the warning to the North over the nuclear test. The memorandum mentioned that China will condemn strongly, pull back on all economic cooperation and even blockade North Korea if it conducted the test.

Facebook Adding 3,000 Workers To Monitor Videos Of Crime And Suicides

Facebook’s latest response to the public outcry that resulted from the recent livestreaming of a murder on the social network, was announced moments ago when on his personal blog, Mark Zuckerberg announced that over the next year, Facebook “will be adding 3,000 people — on top of the 4,500 we have today — to review the millions of reports we get every week, and improve the process for doing it quickly.” In addition to violence, the crackdown also tragets “hate speech and child exploitation.”
Zuckerberg also notes that “we’ll keep working with local community groups and law enforcement who are in the best position to help someone if they need it — either because they’re about to harm themselves, or because they’re in danger from someone else.”
To all those who are about to spend the next few years watching videos of crime and suicide all day, every day, our condolences. As for whether Facebook will be able to eradicate violence, hate speech, and aggression, we doubt we are the only ones who are skeptical, and furthermore, we wonder when advertisers will express a similar sentiment.

‘Evil Spirits of the Modern Day Press’ wrote Harper’s Weekly 1888 – How History Repeats

White House Correspondents’ Dinner host and Daily Show star Hasan Minhaj delivered a blistering criticism of Donald Trump Saturday night at the Washington D. C. gala, attacking the president for not showing up to the annual event that is supposed to celebrate free speech and a free press, but turns out to just be a self-congratulating club to pat themselves on the back.
While the dinner is typically supposed to roast the President, Trump knew the media would use the event to just be more nasty and Hasan Minhaj did as expected. It is one thing to roast someone, and another completely to attack policy making it just a leftist argument because your voted for the other team. Minhaj, who is an American comedian of Indian heritage, claimed to be an immigrant but failed to distinguish between those who legally come and have to prove they have something to offer like every other country, and those who do not.
