In the vaults of Amazon.com’s self publishing market place, a growing series of books exposing China’s dark secrets is seeing the light. Six books with colorful covers, which constitute the ‘China Secrets’ series, introduce a reader to the fascinating world of China’s internal – or neibu – documents. But many questions remain. *** Since 2015, unnoticed by the large majority of the China watchers, the books, with titles like The China 1989 Army Documents, Spying against the United States, Spying against India and others can now be bought on Amazon. Author Ben Keiler [probably a pseudonym] claims the documents are being put before the public ‘for the first time ever’. They shed a new and unique light on events as diverse as the 1989 Tian’anmen Square massacre and the martial law imposed in Tibet three months before, the China-India border conflict culminating in hostilities in Bhutan earlier this year

In recent years, left-wing groups have often been the driving force behind secession movements. This has been the case in Scotland, in Catalonia, and in California. In each case, the secession movements have been initiated in part to forward left-wing goals, such as the creation of a larger welfare state or to escape limitations imposed by political interest groups and institutions deemed to be too right-wing. Within the American context, the loudest calls for secession right now are coming from California where leftists are eager to assert their independence from the Trump administration in Washington. Generally speaking, these California secessionists want single-payer health care, an even larger welfare state, confiscation of private firearms, and an ever larger environmental “protection” bureaucracy. That is, they want a European-style welfare state. California as Case Study This case presents Americans – and especially libertarian-minded Americans – with a question that continues to come up in recent years on secession matters: should they support a left-wing secession movement? Is it right or moral to support a secession movement that, in the short- and medium- terms is almost guaranteed to adopt policies that are counter to the cause of freedom and free markets? The answer must first and foremost be compared against the reality of forcing political union on a separatist region. That is, the cost of allowing a region to separate must be compared to the cost of keeping it in – i.e., military invasion, occupation, mass arrests, government surveillance, martial law, and worse.
Former US President Barack Obama has been criticized by both Republicans and fellow Democrats for withholding information about Russia’s alleged interference in the US presidential election – criticism that has only intensified since President Donald Trump triumphed over Democrat Hillary Clinton in the November election. Now, in yet another troubling sign that the Obama administration believed outside hacking groups posed a significant threat to the election, Time magazine reports that his administration had devised a detailed plan to fend off any cyberattaks that sought to falsify vote totals during the election. Obama has been criticized for not informing the American people about hacking attemps allegedly carried out by Russia-linked groups for fear of ‘rocking the boat’ and damaging Clinton’s chances of victory.

Update: According to Site Intel Group, an Islamic State operative has indicated IS is responsibile for the Resorts World Manila Attack. Gunfire and explosions have been reported at the luxury Resorts World Manila hotel in the Philippines. A masked gunman was on the second floor of one hotel, firing at guests, hotel employees fleeing the scene told CNN Philippines. According to initial press reports, at least 25 people have been injured following the attack which has been claimed by Islamic State operatives. Police, fire trucks and SWAT teams were seen in the area at about 1:30 a.m. local time Friday to deal with what may be a terrorist event, and takes place just days after president Duterte launched martial law in Mindanao in crackdown against local terrorist activity.

Zbigniew Brzezinski, former national security advisor to President Jimmy Carter, died Friday at a hospital in Virginia at the age of 89. Though the New York Times acknowledged that the former government advisor was a ‘hawkish strategic theorist,’ misrepresenting his legacy as one of otherwise infinite positivity may not be as easy as the establishment might like to think. As the United Kingdom plays around with levels of the so-called ‘terror threat’ following a devastating attack by an ISIS-inspired individual – and as the Philippines goes into an almost complete state of martial law following ISIS-inspired destruction – Brzezinski’s timely death serves as a reminder to seek a deeper understanding of where modern terrorism originated in the first place. As the New York Times explains, Brzezinski’s ‘rigid hatred of the Soviet Union’ guided much of America’s foreign policy ‘for better or worse.’ From the Times: ‘He supported billions in military aid for Islamic militants fighting invading Soviet troops in Afghanistan. He tacitly encouraged China to continue backing the murderous regime of Pol Pot in Cambodia, lest the Soviet-backed Vietnamese take over that country.’ [emphasis added]
Phillipenean president Rodrigo Duterte is a violent tyrannical fascist. He’s slaughtered thousands of his own people in an attempt to crackdown on drugs and is now condoning rape by his own soldiers. Three days after declaring martial law in the rebellious southern Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte ordered his troops to crush the militants and gave a speech to inspire them. ‘You can arrest any person, search any house,’ Duterte told the soldiers Friday. ‘I alone would be responsible’ for anything they did under martial law, he said. ‘I will go to jail for you. If you happen to have raped three women, I will own up to it.’

This week Theresa May has taken Britain closer towards martial law. According to British Home Secretary Amber Rudd, the government has begun an initial deployment of 1,000 British troops onto the streets of the UK in order to help the police after the alleged ‘ISIS attack’ in Manchester on Monday evening. Total number of troops expected to join the deployment will be 4,000, including some Royal Marines and RAF Police.
‘You have such a fervent, passionate, evangelical faith in this country…why in the name of God don’t you have any faith in the system of government you’re so hell-bent to protect? You want to defend the United States of America, then defend it with the tools it supplies you with – its Constitution. You ask for a mandate, General, from a ballot box. You don’t steal it after midnight, when the country has its back turned.’ – Seven Days in May (1964) No doubt about it. The coup d’etat has been successful. The Deep State – a.k.a. the police state a.k.a. the military industrial complex – has taken over. The American system of representative government has been overthrown by a profit-driven, militaristic corporate state bent on total control and global domination through the imposition of martial law here at home and by fomenting wars abroad. When in doubt, follow the money trail. It always points the way. Every successive president starting with Franklin D. Roosevelt has been bought – lock, stock and barrel – and made to dance to the tune of the Deep State.
