The 2nd Presidential debate has grown to be little more than entertainment for the average viewer, likened to an episode of American Gladiators. People tune in to cheer on ‘their’ candidate, to applaud every jab that each figurehead throws at the other, but few pay attention to the actual policies being discussed.
Syria was mentioned more than 50 times. Aleppo, the most populated city in Syria which has been the focal point of the ongoing Syrian civil war, is now being used as a scapegoat to start a new war, one in which the United States would be involved. Over the past month, there have been a series of aerial bombings in Aleppo, reportedly by the Syrian government or Russian air strikes.
