South Korea Is Preparing A “Surgical Strike” Against The North: Report

According to a report in South Korea’s Munhwa Ilbo newspaper, which cites an unidentified government official, South Korea’s military is preparing a “surgical strike” scenario that could wipe out North Korean command and missile and nuclear facilities following an order by S. Korea’s President Moon Jae-in. Munhwa adds that the military is to report the scenario to presidential office after completing it as early as August 1.
As the report details, South Korea’s Special Forces are preparing a special strike op which would be launched in response to President Moon Jae-In’s order to remove the North Korean leadership in case of emergency. This operation is taking place in addition to separate preparations currently conducted by the country’s military forces.
Targeted by the surgical strike would be North Korea’s core facilities. As part of the operation, South Korea’s forces would launch Taurus cruise missiles from F-15 fighters, which would be able to strike all key facilities in Pyongyang and can also strike the office of the Chairman of the Labor Party, Kim Jong Eun, at the Pyongyang Labor Party headquarters.
The newspaper also adds that the South Korean military’s own strike-hit scenarios include plans to create a special mission brigade of 1,000 to 2,000 at the end of this year with plans to eliminate war leadership figures such as Kim Jong Un and paralyze warfare command facilities in case of emergency. The military authorities have already commenced the CH-47D (Chinook) performance improvement project to transport these special mission brigades

AFTER GOP FAILS TO REPEAL OBAMACARE, SANDERS WILL INTRODUCE SINGLE-PAYER

Vermont Senator and socialist, Bernie Sanders said Sunday that he will absolutely introduce a single-payer health care bill. If you think health care is bad now because of government interference, just wait until the government literally controls your health and body100%.
‘Absolutely, of course, we are,’ Sanders told CNN’s Jake Tapper Sunday. ‘We’re just tweaking the final points of the bill and we’re figuring out how we can mount a national campaign to bring people together.’ Sanders ran on a socialist platform during the 2016 election and was endorsed by ‘democratic socialist’ Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela.
‘We are the only major country on earth, the only one, not to guarantee health care to all people,’ he said. ‘The result is 28 million people who are uninsured, millions of people who are paying deductibles and co-payments that are far too high.’ Even though healthcare is not right, Sanders insists on taking more of your hard earned money for single-payer.

The Next Escalation: Pentagon Offers To Arm Ukraine, McCain Delighted

It's about time. @WSJ: "Pentagon Offers Plan to Arm #Ukraine" — John McCain (@SenJohnMcCain) July 31, 2017

When we reported yesterday about Putin’s surprisingly harsh response to last week’s House legislation to launch new sanctions against Russia, which also binds Trump from unilaterally removing sanctions without getting Congressional approval, we concluded that “now we await the US re-retaliation in what is once again the same tit-for-tat escalation that marked the latter years of the Obama regime, as the US Military Industrial Complex breathes out a sigh of relief that for all the posturing by Trump, things between Russia and the US are back on autopilot.”
We didn’t have long to wait.
The WSJ reports that, in what appears to be the next gambit by the U. S. Military-Industrial Complex (or “deep state” for those so inclined) to force Trump to “prove” that he did not, in fact, collude or have any ties with Russia or Vladimir Putin, Pentagon and State Department officials have devised plans to hit Russia where it hurts the most, and supply Ukraine with antitank missiles and other weaponry, and are now seeking White House approval at a time when ties between Moscow and Washington are as bad as during any point under the Obama administration.

Trump Touts “Highest Stock Market Ever”, Slams Congress’ Exemption From ‘Disastrous’ ObamaCare

President Trump is active this morning. His first tweet of the week was a shot across the bow of Congress (who exempted themselves from Obamacare because it was such a disaster) and suggesting – shockingly to many in DC – that insurance companies may face some pain…
If ObamaCare is hurting people, & it is, why shouldn't it hurt the insurance companies & why should Congress not be paying what public pays?

An “Angry, Frustrated” China Hits Back Over Trump’s Latest Tweets

Two days after President Donald Trump tweeted he was “very disappointed” in China
following Pyongyang’s latest missile test adding that “we will no longer allow this to continue”, Beijing has hit back at Trump on Monday, saying the problem did not
arise in China and that all sides need to work for a solution, according to a statement sent to Reuters by China’s Foreign Ministry.
“All parties should have a correct understanding of this,” it said, adding the international community widely recognized China’s efforts to seek a resolution. The essence of Sino-U. S. trade is mutual benefit and win-win, with a vast amount of facts proving the healthy development of business and trade ties is good for both countries, the ministry added. Chinese Vice Commerce Minister Qian Keming, weighed in too, telling a news conference there was no link between the North Korea issue and China-U. S. trade. “We think the North Korea nuclear issue and China-US trade are issues that are in two completely different domains. They aren’t related. They should not be discussed together,” Qian said.

Opposition Threatens “War In The Streets” As Maduro Claims Victory In Venezuela Assembly Vote

Despite US threats of ‘strong and swift economic sanctions’ that the WSJ reported overnight could cut off a crucial source of revenue for Venezuela’s financially distressed state oil company, PDVSA, the socialist state’s leader Nicolas Maduro is claiming victory in a vote to create a new ‘constituent assembly,’ a vote that US government officials have labeled a “sham.”
The ruling Socialist party’s candidates purportedly won all 545 seats in the vote. Venezuela electoral council head Tibisay Lucena said more than 41% of the country’s registered voters participated, a number that is being widely discreditr by outside sources. Per press reports, the assembly will now replace the opposition controlled Congress, which was annulled by the Maduro-allied Supreme Court in March, allowing Maduro to rewrite the country’s constitution, cementing his hold on power as his favorability rating with the public falls below 30%.
The U. S., Colombia, Spain, Peru, the EU and Argentina have already said they will not recognize the results of the vote, which was boycotted by the country’s opposition parties.

Meanwhile, Somewhere in the Pentagon…

The decision to launch nuclear weapons is political, not military.
There are undoubtedly two sets of operational plans: one deploying conventional weapons, and the second for deployment of nuclear weapons. As North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong Un declares that “The Entire US Territory Is Now Within Our ICBM Range”, somewhere in the Pentagon, operational plans to neutralize North Korean nuclear and long-range missile capabilities are being refined. Nothing personal, Mr. Kim Jong Un, it’s just business. A core duty of planners in the Pentagon is to ask “What if” and draw up a range of scenarios and operational plans to carry out the civilian leadership’s policies and decisions.

25 year-old Syrian Journalist Khaled Al-Khateb Killed in the Line of Duty by ISIS

21st Century Wire says…
Here’s a story that you will never see mentioned across the entirety of the western mainstream media. Why? Because this man was covering the Syrian conflict from the perspective of the Syrian people, and not the highly distorted and constantly misleading western narrative.

Yesterday, a 25 year-old Syrian journalist, Khaled Al-Khateb, was killed by an ISIS rocket attack in Homs province. He had just recently joined RT Arabic as a stringer covering fighting in the Homs region.
Today RT Arabic lost a young colleague, journalist Khaled Alkhateb. This is very painful news for all of us,’ the head of RT Arabic, Maya Manna, said in a statement.
‘This morning, together with soldiers of the Syrian Army, he was heading to the town of al-Sukhnah, where heavy fighting is currently underway to free it. On their way there, not far from Homs, the convoy was attacked by IS militants,’ she explained.

Indian Authorities Seize Half A Billion Dollars Of Heroin

The Indian coast guard seized 1,500 kilograms of heroin, the largest bust ever uncovered by authorities in any county, after commandeering a shady Panama-flagged vessel sailing in the Indian Ocean.
The vessel, which was operating under the name MV Henry, was intercepted off the Gujarat coast near the city of Porbandar, according to Reuters. Crewmembers said the ship was sailing from Dubai to Alang, a town in Gujarat known for shipbreaking.

Washington Pushes Harder Against Russia – Paul Craig Roberts

Some historians believe that the cause of WW2 was UK prime minister Chamberlain’s appeasement of Hitler’s recovery of German territory given to other countries via the Versailles Treaty in contravention of US President Woodrow Wilson’s promise to Germany that there would be no reparations and no loss of territory if Germany agreed to an armistance ending WW1.
I do not agree. The facts seem clear. The cause of WW2 was the gratuitous and unenforceable guarantee to the Polish military government given by Chamberlain that if Poland refused to hand German lands and populations back to Germany, Great Britain would be there to support Poland. When Germany and the Soviet Union made the deal to split Poland between them and attacked, Britain due to its stupid ‘guarantee’ declared war on Germany, but not on the Soviet Union. As France was aligned by treaty with Britain, France, too, had to declare war. Because of the reign of propaganda in the West, hardly anyone knows this, but WW2 was started by the British and French declaration of war on Germany. Yet, it was the surviving members of the German regime who were put on trial by the US, UK, France, and the Soviet Union in Nuremberg for initiating aggressive war.
Nevertheless, as the general opinion is that Chamberlain encouraged Hitler to ever more aggressive actions by the British failure to respond, why has no one pointed out that the Russian government’s lack of response to Washington’s aggressive actions toward Russia encourages Washington to become more aggressive. This also is leading to war.
